Blue Agave Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Taylor

TLDR Food was Great but they wont take food back and service is very poor. Me and the wife live a few minutes from the restaurant so figured we try it out. Food was actually great, I was pleasantly surprised. The wet burrito and shrimp tacos were super good. The wife at first got the fish tacos, (she always gets fish tacos at other restaurants) but they were very fishy, almost like spoiled fish. She refused to eat that tacos, but asked to be exchanged with the shrimp instead. They asked if they could charge us half for the shrimp tacos and full price on the fish tacos. I asked to speak to the manager, our waitress said yes no problem. Then she came back and said there’s no manager and that I can only speak to the cook. I said Nevermind. Then a young boy came up to the booth we were in and asked us what the problem was. We repeated the issue and he repeated half off shrimp taco order. Please if the restaurant staff or owner is reading this, please work on your costumer service. I would love to come back to the restaurant and bring my extended family to try it out as well but if you’re going to charge for food that’s your costumer states “taste poor and spoiled”, do the right thing and take it off the bill or make another dish to satisfy your costumers. First time there and Mexican food didn’t have flavor to it . I can know from the start of the food will be good. Y the taste of the chips and salsa . The salsa tastes like just tomatoe salsa not spicy. I ordered a steak taco and didn’t have any flavor to it. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla and that was good. My partner order enchiladas and he said they were not good at all. I tasted the rice he had in his plate and didn’t have any flavor to it either. I don’t recommend the restaurant since it’s so bland and not tasteful. The waitress girl didn’t really care and wasn’t professional. She was cleaning the table next to us and told her I was ready to order and she said hold on let me finish cleaning the table . That’s not customer service . New new new New Mexican restaurant!!! I am so happy there’s a real Mexican restaurant 7 min away from where I am at in Dearborn heights !!! Literally the most authentic mexican food in Taylor/dearborn area ! So if ur not used to real mexican food please come here with an open mind and try it ! Service is great ! We had their quesadillas , tacos, ceviche and torta ! Everything tasted fresh. They have an only weekend menu portion which is so worth it ! Tacos dorados (fried tacos with pork beef inside ) menudo, carnitas and pozole ! They told us the liquor license is in process !! Yay! We been here twice and food was never a disappointment! Owner checked on us and the food. She made us feel comfortable I ln case we weren’t satisfied w our meal.
