Outstanding, Finally….Real food, for the soul in the downriver area!!! I love to cook, real, home, good tasting food, but when I’m to busy or tired, I literally would have to go 20 miles away. The fast food and chain restaurants are for people who don’t cook, don’t know how to cook, or just don’t know any better and are satisfied with the average over priced food. As for myself, family, and friends are accustomed to cooking our own home cooked food, this place is absolutely the best next thing! First time trying this restaurant today and I was very skeptical, but to our surprise, it was all great tasting and all around wonderfully prepared “as I would say” with love and a passion for cooking. I had the Turkey chops, Mac & cheese, and Greens. My daughter had the wings and same sides. I always try the Greens first, just to compare to mine (lol) and I told my daughter, OMG these taste like mine 😍 my heart is happy. I knew then, all this is going to be good and it was all excellent. Cuddos to the chief and or cook. Please keep up the good work and DONT ever change like the others always do. The food is hideous in this place. I would give them a 00 if I could. It smelled so good when I walked in this place. The side dishes looked good in the hot food display case. I ordered a fried pork chop dinner ($13.99). This is my first time here. The dinner came with 2 sides plus I ordered a sm helping of mac & chez for 3.00$. After getting home....so ready to eat. I opened the Styrofoam dish to find (over seasoned and over cooked thin hard chewy pork chops, yams that were flavorless tough and too sweet also collard green that were too salty to eat....they made your mouth burn and scream for water. My side order of Mac & Chez was too rubbery to chew and the cheese was so cheap it had no taste). The whole meal was a waste of money....it was only good for the trash can because I would not even feed it to my dog. So don't be fooled by the smell or the looks.... This food was just down right nasty. So save your $$ and your time. Don't go here its better...

I cannot believe I forgot to leave my review I went for my first time ordered steak bites with almost ever side on the menu, I was coming from like 35 minutes away ended up getting there like a hour later my food was still nice and hot and fresh and one thing for sure the food does not lack flavor and it's not overbaring but exactly how it should be, the gentlemen who greeted me was amazing I felt welcomed and I honestly can't think of another soul food restaurant that does it better, everything was good. I got small sides and it was enough for me to let everyone try some, yamssss are amazing peach cobbler is delicious I'm sorry but I can't find one bad thing to say...please try them!!
