My husband and I come here all the time. The owner and workers instantly recognize us and we LOVE it. The food here is unbelievably good! Like regular can't make at home good good food. Try the California tacos! I get them a lot with poppers. My favorite! My husband swears by the chili sauce here. So yummy!

If you were on the Lackawanna coal mine tour, and you happen to get hungry down in the mine... Well then you can't do better than to stop by this restaurant. This place is so cute, and it's pretty good standard diner Fair. We really felt lucky to be able to stop here for lunch on our way

Eventually I'll try something else off the menu but for now I'm happy to have the best Cali Shrimp tacos I've ever tasted. Unassuming on the outside, Rich's is colorful and comfy on the inside. Great service and great food. What more could you ask for?

Excellent experience. I ordered a Hole In One breakfast. Three eggs over easy, home fries, two strips of bacon, two links of sausage and, a slice of breakfast ham and an extra order of hash browns. The special offers some variety; sampling of all three of meat options. The Bacon was crispy; not at all chewy , the sausage had a perfect grill sear, and the ham was fork tender. It was a generous portion of eggs and the consistency of the yolks were thick and sticky. very dippable for your toast and potatoes. The home fries were soft and salty. The hash browns had a satisfying crunch. During the short wait (less than 10 minutes) It was a pleasure to sit and eavesdrop on the old timers chatting about days of local past. I was greeted by every member of the staff. the decor is cool and eclectic. License plates like postcards from around the nation, local sports showcases, framed news articles, some small farm tools, and various other curios, exhibits, and oddities. The atmosphere has real personality.

The only minor issue is there are no fountain drinks, so no free refills. But fresh coffee drips constantly.

Ultimately it is a great little diner. Other recommendations from the menu include the Cali ChickenTacos, Texas Weiners, and of course their signature Bourbon...

We stopped here for lunch during a road trip based on the great reviews and are so glad we did. The food was delicious and the servers were very friendly.

My husband got a breakfast special, banana nut French toast, and I got the California tacos (grilled chicken). Our six-year-old enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries. We enjoyed our meal way more than if we had grabbed something at the rest stop, the prices were reasonable, and we felt really welcomed. We highly recommend Rich's Restaurant and would definitely...
