Old Isabella Coffee Company — Restaurant in Tehachapi

Hands down the best coffee I had in California. And super friendly owner! We’re from Amsterdam the Netherlands. This type of coffee places were introduced 15 years ago in Amsterdam and I saw them popping up in Manhattan about 10 years ago. Good quality coffee made with passion. We were in LA first and loads of hipster good coffee places around West Hollywood, but Old Isabella is smashing it. We stayed on Kernville to visit Sequoia and came across Old Isabella. The oma (grandma) of the owner is Dutch and migrated to the US. Her father was a diplomat in Indonesia. Being Dutch myself and born in Indonesia Inwas taking away by this story. Old Isabella Coffee Company is absolutely the BEST! They provide amazing, delicious drinks and have such a warm & welcoming atmosphere! They invite you in like you are family/friends and make sure you are happy with your order. They create special drinks that are absolutely amazing!! The ONLY thing I wish they could do is stay open later into the day, but I completely understand they have to follow the flow of customers to make it worth it to be open later. Either way, when I have a chance to get over to them while they are open, I always enjoy their drinks & cookies!! Have never been here and was super excited to try it out and support a small business. The first moment we walked in there , there were no smiles or hey how r u doing . She's immediately goes what do you want . We ordered bought a bunch of drinks and snacks . Out of 3 people working there , an older blond lady and 2 young girls , all three were unpleasant. The drinks were terrible , so over sweentend it was like drinking syrup . The ice coffee with vanilla didn't even taste anything of coffee just straight vanilla syrup. The snacks were dry and stale . Over bad experience. It sucks I wanted to love this place and support a small business especially with them being close to were I live . I won't go here...
