I live in wine country; Legendary Napa Valley. and I know wine.

I had high expectations regarding this vineyard and it's offering. None of those expectations were met here at MDO.

Am I still in California? Wines this bad are not produced in California. I checked my phone to confirm location. I was. I was in Temecula.

From very messy grounds to vats of fertilizer sitting in the parking lot (really). I could see a nightmare forming before my eyes. Let's continue.

The wine hostess cared little about our wine experience. Loading water bottles into a frig was far more important than the arrival of her guests. I actually had to move from the bar area and talk to her to get any attention whatsoever. She was bothered by my action.

Zero wine education was provided. MDO could not care any less about their "product" or the customer experience.

To be frank, this "vineyard" was a total waste of time and money.

It was a beautiful day while briefly there. Zero umbrellas open, 3 inch deep / open holes were looking for a lawsuit to happen. Electric tape holding a light together. All customer facing items. Things customers should never see. Plants never planted, olive trees begging for life on the patio. What's wrong with this place. Cob webs and filth both inside and out.

Imagine this: If they care so little what the customer sees, image them carrying that lack of quality into their wine, because that is what it tasted like. A lack of skill, caring and nurturing of every grape before it's presented in the glass was not present.

It is in Napa.

They are quick to boast their awards at the state fair but not once did I see a reputable award. Not once. The San Francisco Wine Competition would be a good start. Napa is nearby. Napa, which put American wines on the map.

This property is surrounded by some charming vineyards who serve food and have music. A much more enjoyable environment to share a bottle with friends while honoring the vineyards with a case or two purchased. Wine hosts work hard for each client and deserve your support.

Head to a Vineyard who wants your business and will make you feel at home. These guys don't care and show it through their employees, their messy, falling apart property and their unskilled, lackluster wines.

Seek an alternate, across the street or up the road. Better fortune comes to you through their bright, flavorful wines explained by folks who love their job. They know their stuff which is clearly more than I can say for MDO.

I will never get back 30 minutes of my life spent here. What a complete waste of my time. The three other individuals who joined me all agree.

Good luck. You have...

As wedding photographers Catherine and I have had the privilege of capturing the special moments of countless couples in various venues, and we must say that Monte De Oro Winery in Temecula is an exceptional gem among them.

First and foremost, the staff at Monte De Oro Winery is truly remarkable. Their dedication to ensuring a flawless wedding day experience is evident in every interaction. They not only exhibit the highest level of professionalism but also go above and beyond to accommodate the needs of both the couple and all the vendors involved. Working alongside such an organized and supportive team makes our job as photographers not only smoother but also incredibly enjoyable.

One of the standout features of this venue, from a photographer's perspective, is the cool wine cellar. This unique space offers a captivating backdrop for photos that exude elegance and romance. The ambient lighting and rustic charm of the wine cellar create a truly magical atmosphere, allowing for breathtaking, one-of-a-kind shots that couples will cherish for a lifetime. It's not just a space to store wine; it's a treasure trove of photographic opportunities that adds an extra layer of charm to any wedding album.

Monte De Oro Winery also boasts picturesque vineyards and stunning views that provide an excellent canvas for outdoor ceremonies and portraits. Plus, the clear night skies offer an incredible opportunity to capture epic starlit images that truly stand out. The combination of the natural beauty of the surroundings and the well-maintained grounds makes every shot a work of art.

In conclusion, Monte De Oro Winery is a top-notch wedding venue for photographers and couples alike. The incredible staff and the unique wine cellar provide an extraordinary backdrop for capturing the magic of a wedding day. If you're searching for a venue that combines exceptional service with picture-perfect settings, Monte De Oro Winery should be at the top of your list. It's a place where unforgettable moments are made, and we highly recommend it to couples seeking a truly special venue for their...

I would give five stars for the wines and the views, but unfortunately I have to give only one for the service at arriving. We are a members for about three years I think, actually we were, because I just cancelled our membership. I did that with the pain, because we like the wine and the beautiful views they have, but the service just became terrible. Our waitress was really nice actually, I think her name was maybe Darla , or similar , but the seating girl, Cristina was , I can’t find the words, so not into the customers, rude actually, not a first time happening. Every time we had to wait for some good time for her to show up , and that attitude of hers, the way she explains the things , just so unfriendly! . When I ask about table at members are, she said no this is just for reservations and members, but when I said that that’s who I am and I did reservations, than she change the story and tells something else, the table on members area was available for whole hour during that time-and I saw other people got seated 30 min after in that area. Also the young ladies cashiers are so not the same as before, when we joined the membership , I think the personal has changed and the vibes as well. They are definitely not in to the customer service. I was holding on the membership cancellation for a while, but I couldn’t handle anymore. There are so many wineries over there, we can use our membership in another one. Of course I’ll be missing the views and some good wine, but we will be ok. Sad that in these difficult times some people just don’t care about keeping their company grow and about good...

I visited the winery a couple weeks ago with a friend of mine. The winery is a beautiful facility and a nice attraction. We sampled three of their wines they offered that day. I particularly like the Merlot. The other two offered was a Cabernet and a blend of the two. They were good wines, but not exceptional, but nice everyday wines nonetheless. The Merlot was the winner. We stayed for lunch and ordered their bacon cheese burger as the person at the tasting bar claimed they had excellent burgers, and I appreciate a good burger. I ordered mine cooked medium rare. What came to the table was an overcooked patty with American cheese (which isn’t quality cheese), with potato chips on the side. When you spend $22.00 for a hamburger, one would expect it would be cooked to order correctly, with at least potato fries on the side, and not a handful of cheap potato chips. The bun was so dry the edges were hard and crunchy, and not from toasting. Both of us left that part of the bun on our plates. Instead, if you can't offer a burger cooked properly, with a slice of quality cheese and a side of fries, stay with a well-designed charcuterie board. No cooking is required, and you'll delight your customers with something that pairs well with the wines. This is after all a winery. This place has so much promise. Too bad it doesn’t live up to the eye appeal. The servers and staff are all kind and very professional. They're the winning asset.
