Dilly's Deli — Restaurant in Tempe

Their soups are the best! I've been here three times in the past couple of weeks and have ordered their Cream of Potato soup in a bread bowl, which was delicious... but could have had more chunks of potato for perfection 😉. The Creamy Chicken Noodle soup is my favorite... so creamy and seasoned perfectly... with tender chunks of chicken. It's served in a container along with a bread bowl on the side... so you can either pour it into the bread bowl as you're eating it, or just eat that fresh delicious bread as you scoop up spoonfuls from the container... or dip it... so many delicious ways to enjoy it! The advantage of getting their soups in a to-go container is you definitely get MORE SOUP that way. Yum! My husband loves their Dilly Club which is delicious. He has also ordered their Ruben, which was good. He mentioned he would have enjoyed it more if the sauerkraut was separate from the dressing. They appear to be mixed together, and I'd have to agree it would be best to separate the flavors. My only real complaint is they don't serve pickles with their sandwiches... which seems like a must at a deli! Perhaps next time we'll ask for pickles and see what happens. We do enjoy our food at...

I went to Dilly's today with my partner, who loves it. I'd never been before, so I was looking forward to going. It wasn't a great experience, unfortunately. There was bad and good. Bad first: The cashier was nearly falling asleep while I was ordering, yawning and all.. so I had to repeat my whole order because she wasn't listening and then didn’t give me the cup for my drink. The club sandwich was super greasy, which I was not expecting with a cold sandwich. I went to eat it and discovered it was mostly bread and very little turkey and bacon. I asked them if they could please add more because that was totally ridiculous for the amount I paid, but they refused to stating they weigh everything and that is what you get, showing no concern about having an unsatisfied customer. Very disappointing. The good: while the sandwich was greasy and lacking substance, the flavor of what was there was actually decent. I enjoyed the multigrain bread. The potato salad was tasty as well. Overall, I'm not opposed to giving it another chance, but I wouldn't choose to go there if given other...

Here comes the “I wish they had less than 1 star review....”

Ordered some food for delivery (tuna sandwich and Buffalo sandwich). The Tuna barely had anything on it and the Buffalo was legit the worst I have ever had. We also ordered some drinks that didn’t show up with the delivery. When I called and asked they told me to just come get the drinks myself. I tried to talk with the manager but was told they don’t have time and they hung up on me.

I went there to get the drinks... no customers were in there and was told to wait while the manager was talking with the other workers in the back. I waited for this “manager” and then she told me she was too busy to deal with the problem. I had to point out to her she literally had zero customers in there.She refused to give me my money back or to just give me the drinks I paid for. After our 5 min pointless banter her worker walked up with the drinks and just gave them to me solving the problem immediately. Loooong story short this place blows and will never go back.
