Never a good experience at this restaurant. Get told the ice cream machine is broke while management makes herself a cup of vanilla. Today's order was something quick because my wife had just got out of the hospital. 2 Whopper Jr . One only mayo and lettuce , one no ketchup add mustard . And large onion rings . Wanted a strawberry shake but ... It's being cleaned for the night at 7:30pm . Shocker . Upon arrival at the first window I pay in cash and the cashier asked me to wait until I pull up to the second window, coming from previous fast food experience I knew this was to keep their times down , so I play along thinking they are making me some fresh onion rings . After about 4 minutes we are given the green light and proceed to the second window where.. wait for it . The female manager is having a few bites of her sandwich prior to handing us our food. She lets us know that zesty sauce(my fav) ketchup and napkins are in the bag . We depart and begin home . I asked my beautiful wife to grab a couple onion rings for the ride (about 1/2 mile) . I also told her to be careful they might be hot . As she feeds me the first onion ring, to my Surprise.. it's cold and soggy .. with a couple choice words in regards to this experience I proceed home . We get to our humble abode to only open our sandwiches with half green tomatoes and resembling what can only be described as what the last pack of buns would look like during a riot .. to my dismay, I like burger kings flame broiled goodness, a ripe tomato, crisp lettuce and the appearance of a sandwich that doesn't look like it was carried in the back pocket of someone who sits down alot. I have yet to find this elusive morsel of deliciousness, and seriously doubt the location on Fowler in Thonotosassa FL will ever be able to...
Read moreThis store has repeatedly forgotten an item in my food orders. I used the app to order ahead today...and along with not having 2 of the items available that I ordered, they only gave me one of our large hashbrowns.
I had to get my kids to school on time so I couldn't turn around. I attempted to call but they only have a 1-800 number listed that deflects you too a website.
On my way back home, I stopped in to let them know I was missing an item and to ask for a refund.
They offered me a food replacement, which would've been ok if my daughter was still with me to eat the food, but she was not...but no refund.
I told them I didn't need the food and would prefer my money back.
The manager told me that since it was a third party I ordered from (apparently the Burger King app is not affiliated with the actual Buger King stores...makes perfect sense, right? ) , I was told that I would have to go through the app to get a refund.
The app tells you that they get back to you in 24-48 hours via email.
I got a response sooner. Apparently, refunds are not a thing anymore...just coupons on their app.
Moral of the story, don't expect any accountability out of the restaurants, staff, or the corporation via themselves...that is a relic of the past. They deflect and impersonalize the experience.
Welcome to the future of businesses.
"Sorry that you had a bad experience, please accept this coupon so that you can return for another bad experience until you eventually get sick of our...
Read moreThis location should be a busy hub of dining, as it is the only fast food hambuger restaurant within 5 miles of its location.
They are very slow. You will pull up and wait for someone to decide to take your order. Most of the time, they will make you wait. Usually, it's minutes, but it varies between 1-2 on average. It seems they want to get orders completed before they take more.
The drive-thru service varies wildly. You either get an interested, upbeat person, or you get the clinically depressed, or flippant worker that shouts "I said I will be with you in a minute"!
The food rides the same roller coaster. In general, it is fine most of the time, the "fine" you describe when it's been a long day and it's something to eat, that you did not have to cook. They mostly provide a dried out patty, soggy room temp fries and onion rings. I suspect the oil isn't being changed regularly enough. You can really only filter it so many times.
It not far from the college so I believe it's college level students and depressed people that comprise their staff. Perhaps over worked or under managed. Hard to determine.
I do not recommend, unfortunately. It has potential to be very profitable, if resources were allocated correctly at that location but as it stands today, it is merely a sad eyesore for the weary travel or book bound collegiate and a bitter disappointment for all diners who...
