Waffle House — Restaurant in Temple Terrace

Horrible Experience. The waitress was not very cordial, I asked for Splenda for my coffee and her reaction was just short of rolling her eyes. She overcharged me and undercharged my comrade. This was due to my comrade placing an order and deciding not to eat his waffle, and gave it to me. When I brought it to her attention, she said since I ate it she changed the order. Since when is that ok? I brought this to the manager's attention, he actually took her side. His words to me, "whatever you eat you pay for, whatever he eats he pays for." How ridiculous! To make matters even worse, the waitress said if I don't charge you, then I have to charge him, pointing to my comrade. The manger backed her up instead of saying no big deal, no charge. For a waffle! How much can a scoop of batter cost? I called corporate, they seemed to be genuinely concerned, we shall see as time will tell. In all my years in the food management business, I've never had this happen to me. This happened at the 301 location. Other locations have always been friendly, especial the MLK...

I will never go to this waffle house again! I have never had such horrible service, I love waffle house for their friendly service. We stopped here tonight as the Waffle House by the casino was busy. The waitress from the time we sat down was rude, no smile and acted as we were putting her out by just simply sitting at a table, she never asked what we would like, she simply just stood at the table with a pencil in hand staring at us! It took 30 min to get our food with many open tables, we did not get our toast to dip in our eggs, when asked if we could have our toast she never answered and yet we never recieved toast or butter for our waffles, and our drinks were empty prior to getting our food with no offer of refills. The waitress put the check on the table and never asked if we needed anything or said anything. I wish I knew her name but unfortunately noone wore a nametag in this store. I generally love going to waffle house. I usually never have a bad experience, and I've been to many across the country. I've Loved Waffle House since I was a kid. I had a horrendous experience this morning when I was eating there before work. I watched a manager verbally abused one of his waitresses and call her words that I would never even call my worst enemy. He was very demeaning and degrading and it made me disgusted. I didn't want to continue eating at this restaurant so I left. It's crazy how an experience like this contain my whole View on a restaurant that I've loved my entire life. This man should be fired, and honestly put on blast in front of the entire internet for the way that he acted. He acted Invincible like nothing could face him, and it was so sad to watch.
