The Apricot Cafe was a great place to have lunch after our rafting adventure. In case you’re wondering, no, we did not use Quest for rafting. It’s perfectly acceptable to eat here even if you do not use the rafting company. The menu was fun. It took a very long time to get our food, but this was okay since we knew the food was cooked to order.

Loved everything about this place. Super friendly! Melinda’s customer service is exactly how it should be everywhere. She was great!! We enjoyed the pimento cheese burger / fries and the turkey bacon avocado sandwich / house made chips! We look forward to our next visit. Thanks for a great lunch!

This place is GREAT! The young lady at the window was all smiles, the cook was so friendly and the food was top notch! We had the Reuben and the jacked up double patty melt (spicy with homemade ranch) and both were amazing! If you are rafting the ocoee definitely stop by-it’s worth it!

I was very disappointed with today’s first time experience attempting to dine in at Apricot’s today (9/1/2024). If you are not part of the river community, BEWARE!!! I am a local resident here in this county and I was not acknowledged or helped today.

I was the third customer in line to order my food when a female guide decided to slip right in front of me to order. I didn’t say anything and decided to give her some grace, assuming that she was on a tight timeline to get to another river run. Several other guides then walked around from the side of the building and decided to all cut in front of me by pretending that the girl was saving their place in line. They all knew I was standing right there and they played the ‘let’s not give the eye contact game’. What made me even more upset was that they ended up ordering food for several other people! The lady at the register witnessed all of this go down and when it was finally my turn to order, she ended up closing the window screen on me and told me that she needed time to put the previous orders together before helping me. I have never felt this type of discrimination before in my life. I totally get that the local businesses here in Ocoee depend on river tourism. Don’t forget! Your intended customer base is only seasonal. Us locals give y’all business year round, especially during the slow down...

I don’t give out five star reviews, but this place nailed it!! Service by people who care about relationships and good food. Atmosphere was delightful on a beautiful August day after several hours of white water rafting. Food was homemade from scratch with no premade bull sh**. I had the shrimp poor boy with homemade chips… I ate every last bite. Portions are great for the bigger appetite. Even though I am a smaller appetite person, I couldn’t put the food down. It’s seasoned and cared for like it should be. My brother had the Cuban… nothing left and he is “smaller” than me. My brother said, “I wish we had more places like this around us!”

If you are nearby, please be a patron here! You will not be disappointed!!! We...

Melinda is amazing, greeted everyone, and followed up with each customer by name to ensure they were doing good or if they needed anything. The burgers were good and tasty, just smaller than the last time we stopped in. The fried pickles had too much breading on them, and we could hardly taste the pickles. We enjoy outdoor seating, especially on cooler sunny days, but this particular day another couple had their 2 dogs off leash that kept coming over to us in line and at our table jumping up on us and begging for food. I know the dogs are not the responsibility of the Café but it did take away from our Sunday lunch having to deal with someone else dogs. We will come and do recommend to...
