Boomershine Pizzeria — Restaurant in Tennessee

Happy birthday to me! I wanted GOOD pizza & chose Boomershine. I really dislike having to complain about food but when we spent nearly $50 for a pizza & salad expecting good food, it's frustrating to be so disappointed! I don't know if this restaurant has changed mgnt/ownership but nothing was like what we've previously had. The $10 salad is tiny but has more meat in it than the pizza had on it. The pizza was supposed to be pepperoni! & mushroom. Under the cheese, there were 5 1/2 slices of pepperoni (literally - we counted) & maybe 1/8 cup of mushrooms. It was ice cold. I was told 35 mins, showed in that amt of time, yet the pizza was so cold, it had to have been done far sooner. That wasn't a big deal. We reheated it. But, there's a ton of garlic on the pizza which we didn't expect or like, in addition to so few toppings. Really disappointing! I wanted the Bleu cheese as I'd recalled Boomershine having the fresh Bleu cheese, like is served at Greg's in Johnson City. The reason we'd liked Boomershine before, & were willing to pay so much (when we have it to spend - rare occasions) is it was very close to Greg's. Not this time! Not hot. Very few toppings. Totally different flavor - heavy garlic I'd not had from this place before. Tiny salad. Totally different salad dressings. I'm just REALLY disappointed! And it was my choice for a birthday dinner. I worked in food for years & my son, who bought dinner, has also. I know times are tough but we paid a lot! When anyone spends their hard earned money at your establishment, the food should be good, fresh, & plentiful, within reason. Not complaining about the size of the pizza but the quality. I am, however, complaining about size of the salad. It was just too small to be considered a chef's salad & the meat ingredients could be less with more fresh veggies & still be good. The fact the salad had more pepperoni than the pizza is kind of sad, tho. I'd like to know if this is because of new ownership or why. If so, to whoever changed everything, please change it back. You'll be out of business in no time, if not. This was a very disappointing, expensive experience & as I said, I REALLY dislike complaining, but this was my chance to have a good meal, thought is chosen well only to be deeply...

Tried to call from about 7:15 until 8 pm on July 22 to order a pizza and no one would answer the phone. Assume the are busy and drive up to order instead. There is one other person in there to order, 2 ladies working at a snails pace and the phone has been taken off the hook. There were no pizzas being worked on, none on top of the oven ready to go, they were the definition of completely dead. Probably because they turned the phone off. Whatever, as long as the pizza is still good. First time I had been there in years. It wasn't. It was the most bland, flavorless things I have ever put in my mouth. Didn't help that when they took it out of the oven they just tossed it on the stainless steel topped work station near the oven for 5 to 10 minutes before boxing and cutting it to give to me. The ladies working clearly don't know what happens when you put hot food straight onto cold stainless steel. Pizza was cold before I even got out of the store. Crust was soggy from the condensation that occurred from setting on the stainless steel for so long. Won't be going back. Used to eat here at least once a week from 2009 to 2017, didn't realize it had go so far downhill after I moved...

Update I was quite upset yesterday to find you all increased your prices and do not have it reflected or even announced on your website that you have done as such. You all have had over a month to update your website....When I asked about this when picking up my order yesterday the guy working just said "okay". Bad business ya'll. And to be honest, the pizza wasn't even as good as the last one I had.

Pizza is exactly what my fiance and I have been looking for! Thin, crispy, crust. Light and flavorful sauce. Copious amounts of cheese and baked to perfection! From Fox's Pizza and Papa Johns to Johnny Bruscos and Pizza Hut, this place takes the cake! It's conveniently on my way home from work too so I will definitely be getting my Pizza fixes from Boomershine from here on out. The dinning area is small so it was loud which is my only gripe with dinning in. I'm also pretty sure the table that sat a good 5 minutes or so after us, got our Pizza so we had to wait probably 10 mins more for "theirs". We both had a large cheese. Is what it is though. Pizza...
