So my husband and I have just left countryside. Very disappointed. Me being in a wheelchair it’s harder to get in and out of places like this but there was absolutely no way to even get to the door to even try the food. We drove for an hour to eat here. We knew the food must be good the parking lot was packed . We would have been incredibly loyal regulars if we could have gotten inside to a table. But I refuse to try a restaurant by ordering it from door dash if I can’t get in the door. Super disheartening for sure. Would give 0stars if that was even an option we went all around the building and no way at all to get in . All I wanted was to go in sit down and enjoy dinner with my husband . And it was purely impossible!. First, we went by the big swing, which I thought was absolutely beautiful and very well crafted. Then the spiral columns were absolutely beautiful as well, but there was a bench in the way so you could not get through between the bench and the spiral when you go to the other side where there’s another ramp, you have signage there you have like Informational stands there the whole brochures and stuff and the spiral column there and you cannot get a wheelchair through there we tried both ways. We went around the building. See if it was a back entrance. We worked our way around the entire place and there was so much clutter around the entrances that we could not get my wheelchair through There And we tried for 30 minutes so I don’t know how if I call and someone will come out and assist I mean, I know how to operate my wheelchair. My husband does too. I appreciate the offer, but until the clutter is removed from out in front of the building, there’s no way and the parking spots in the front there needs to be one that is left open for someone in a wheelchair to get through but the cement bumper in the front you can’t get a wheelchair between those if I could have then I would’ve been...
Read moreWe frequently eat here and some days the food is better than others. Unfortunately after tonight we will not be returning. I ordered the meatloaf which arrived completely covered in ketchup which is not how it has arrived in the past. I should have looked at it closer before taking a bite. It had an odd taste. Under the ketchup the top and sides were hard and black. The top half of the meatloaf had an odd greenish brown tint to it. Needless to say I didn’t finish it. The air conditioner our table was under spit out small chunks of black mold looking material onto the table and our plates. We decided to just pay and leave. After we paid for the meal my husband showed the man the meatloaf and started to tell him about the air conditioner issue. The man indicated he was aware of the problem and turned it off and said “Sorry about that.” Will not return after this. On the bright side the watermelon and lima beans were great. As Meatloaf says 2 out of 3 ain’t bad I guess lol. Moral of the story, don’t get the meatloaf or sit under the air conditioner. Best of luck to...
Read moreDrove out to this little hole in the wall from Fort O. We read the reviews and had high hopes of this being a great place to eat. Not the case for us. Our server seemed annoyed that she had a table to start with. I ordered chicken and dumplings with corn, green beans and sweet potato casserole. My husband had the chicken fried steak with pinto beans, Mac and chz and chili. Chicken and dumplings were cold and the corn and green beans had zero flavor. Like they came straight from the can to the table. Sweet potato casserole was good. His meal was really good. He said the beans needed some flavor but everything else was really good. I’m not one to send food back but I would have today just to get my meal hot. However the server never came back once the food was delivered. Now we sit wanting to try their desserts but she is MIA still. I’m guessing because we are not regulars here we don’t matter. 100% not your typical southern hospitality place to dine. Really disappointed. We really wanted to...
