We went here for the first time on the evening of June 29 (Sunday) for dinner. The place is right on the lake and has a lot of drive up boat visitors via the adjacent dock. The restaurant is really a food trailer and an ice cream trailer parked alongside a large covered pavilion with a stage. There was karaoke going on while we were there. While there were several wait staff busily wandering around, no one offered to seat us, so we took our place at an open table. After a while, we finally made eye with a server, but she just kept walking and never came to take our order. We finally got up and tracked down another random server, who proceeded to tell us our table was someone else’s responsibility. Seeing that we were disappointed with that answer, she reluctantly agreed to at least take our orders. We ordered two fish n chips baskets that included fish, fries, hush puppies and a side of Cole slaw. Our orders finally arrived, less the sides of cole slaw. Of course our server had disappeared. We proceeded to eat what had been provided, and it was good tasting. When the server finally re-appeared, we summoned them to our table and inquired about the missing side items. She went and checked with the kitchen and returned to say that they were out. We asked if we could get a substitute from the list of other sides, and she said her manager told her that they would not substitute. She shared this news and abruptly left with no further explanation, never to be seen again. We wrapped up our meal, paid, and departed without so much as any offer or accommodation.

Looking for a nice place to eat on the lake? This is it! They have live music Thursday-Saturday and Karaoke on Sundays through the summer season. Great place to sit and enjoy the breeze, good food, and music. We went on Thursday and it was a little slow. Not too loud. Very relaxing. Normally it is busy and loud with everyone there having fun with the music. So pick your time. I ordered the Douglas Lake Philly and onion rings. My daughter got the chicken tenders and fries. Husband ordered fish and chips but changed it to onion rings and my son got the Cowboy burger and onion rings. Very good food. The parking lot is above and the restaurant is on the lake and the incline is a little steep if you have trouble walking so use caution. May be kind of hard to walk back up after you are full of good food. 😀 Also, it is outside seating only so make sure you plan for weather.

Well, First let me mention that it does not have a bar, they only serve beer. Secondly, the hush puppies were rock hard, and the sweet little waitress did bring him some that werent teeth breakers. Thirdly, the Scallops are "Not" to appear, after preparing, like the one in my picture. Fourth & lastly, I think they buy their french fries from the same place as Chester's Chicken, so if you like Chester's fries, you are in luck! Now on a good note the waitress was very nice and agreed that the food that was overcooked, was definitely overcooked, the sweet potatoe was delicious, my husbands poboy was good, got to watch the boats as the table was window side (dirty windows, but nevertheless). This was our first time here & prolly our last.

I haven't been here since it was Cowboys back in 2004. Upon arrival it just seemed to be a lot of confusion and staff chasing their tails. It took about 8 minutes to be greeted and seated. Their staff is very young. Looks to be mostly teenagers and young adults. But because of that they are full of energy and eager to please, positive lightbulbs but very inexperienced of course. I sat outside from 6:44 to 6:58. At 7 I stepped away to take a call, the live music was of course loud. I had not been greeted by a server yet. I told the waitress at the table right beside me, I need to take this call, I have not left. I came back 5 minutes later. They had sat someone at my table. I went back in and the young boy at the host stand, found me another table right away inside. At this point I am questioning if the food would be any good. I got the sirlion and added scallops. The steak was one of the most tender flavorful steaks I've ever had and the scallops were excellent. $17 for steak. $9 to add scallops. However. My salad was a waffle house salad. Iceberg. Three cherry tomatoes. 2 red onion rings. Store bought croutons. With a meal like this. Their house salad needs to be stepped up. I was expecting more of a Texas Roadhouse salad and got waffle house instead. So I sent it back and got the ceaser and these salads are tiny too. The ceaser I barely ate, because it was a literal soup of ceaser dressing. A pond in my bowl. My sweet potatoe was cooked perfectly, but they do not have cinnamon or honey. Just brown sugar and butter. If you have sweet potato on your menu. You should have cinnamon and honey in your kitchen. My server Hanah was very young and it was her first day. But she was a real sweetheart and very concerned that I was happy. All in all. Great food. Good service. But definitely need to get organized and step it up a notch on the sides, salads...

This was the absolute worst experience I have had in a very long time.

Here is the long sad saga of a terrible restaurant story...we made reservations (we called 3 times in advance for a table inside), we got there and they did not have them, what is the point of reservations, am I right? They sat us down outside right next to the live music (we have a 1 month old baby). We waited 30 minutes, nothing happened, the only other table next to us got their food and salad in that time. We tracked down a waiter and they said they would check to see who is serving us. Another 15 minutes, some lady comes out, who is clearly not a waitress, said she would take half our drink order at a time. She got it wrong. Once she fixed all the drinks, she told us she would get our actual waiter. She came back after a while and started taking our order, obviously they didn't have a real waiter for us...This was now over an hour in and the table next to us, who has arrived 30 minutes after us, already had their food.

After an hour and 20 minutes, our waitress finally came and she was very good. The food and views were also actually good. It took us a total of over 2 hours with a "reservation", while the table next to us were seated, got their food, ate, and left in 40 minutes.

I could go on with many other things I noticed, but you guys don't want to keep reading, if you've even made it this far, and I don't want to keep writing.

I will...
