Food was soooo good!!! Everything was absolutely awesome!!! Great service and great food!!!
UPDATE!!!
After being frequent customers for over 15 years now, we've always had nothing but great things to say about this little place, but that's changing really fast!!! Over the last 6 months, it seems every time we call we either don't get any answer at all when we call to see if they're open or not, or we have to call several times back to back and let it literally ring off the hook before someone answers the phone. But we have to call every single time, because we have gone all the way out there (we live over 25 minutes out from there) 4 times now, only to get there and they not even be open, during what should be normal business hours. We've always been alright with having pretty outrageous wait times for our food because we know this place stays pretty busy, and we understand that it takes time to take care of a lot of people. But it's getting absolutely ridiculous, and today might be the last straw!!! After being snowed in for the last couple of days, it's finally safe enough to get out and get stocked back up LoL but we were really looking forward to a good hot breakfast. But nope!!! They again either aren't even open or aren't answering the phone, again. This is the only place to get food for a pretty big area, so without a trip into town, we aren't getting breakfast today!!! Even the most loyal customers will get tired after so much, and I think that's where we're at. Was a great place with great food for a very long time but the last year or more has been terrible. They stay so busy that they really don't seem to care if they lose customers or not,...
Read moreLooks can be deceiving. Gees. I just moved to the area. Iâm from Tennessee. I thought it would be nice to move out to Cosby. I have driven past this place many times and seen it busy so I thought the usual âthis must really be a nice place to eat.â Boy was I wrong. Mid at best.
Had the house omelet with white toast and shredded hash browns. (from a bag). Not done. Home fries ( from a bag) frozen from the package. (Burnt) Omelet was warm inside , cold on top. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I normally would say something, but there was really nobody in there. I was so confused as to why it was taking so long. This was early in the morning and it wasnât busy , and it also took 35 minutes to get my food. I just took it as a loss. I did tip the normal 20% but felt like I was getting robbed.
All hype and no bang. I really wanted to like this place. But itâs okay. Tourists will say âitâs the best they ever hadâ. Locally? My own home cooking will always top this. Guess Iâll be making my own breakfast from now on. This place isnât it for me , but for someone else they may love it. Itâs just not for me. Also, just so you know if you use your credit card theyâre gonna charge you an extra $1.50. If itâs over $50 dollarsâŚitâs gonna be $2.50. so you best pay with cash if you donât wanna pay that extra fee, however you wanna do it thatâs up to you. As with most places in the area the credit card machine companies have to get their piece of the pie too. Itâs also dark inside. Sorta like a hole in the wall ? Not sure. Anyways. Love it or leave it itâs up to...
Read moreUpdate: I can only assume ownership has changed. The portions are smaller, the prices went up 30% since our last visit here, the men's room is "out of order" which is not good at a place where you eat. This place used to be incredible and we always referred the tourists here. My wife's chicken was served barely a tad bit warm and tasted weird. The gravy did not taste or look like it used to. Even the rolls used to be made on site, but now are tiny little store bought rolls that tasted as though they had been frozen and then microwaved. These are things that customers notice. We were there for lunch and it was empty. It's usually crowded. I can only assume people are having the same experience and words is getting out. I know that inflation is hurting everyone, but don't drive your business into the ground. You raised prices, lowered quality, and we're paying more for less food. Businesses make these changes and then cry when they have to close. You are doing it to yourself! We were regulars, but will probably not be back. This was honestly our favorite place to eat prior to this. Bring back the previous owners, or at least learn from them. Best of luck to you
This is the best place to eat in tennessee by far. If you blink you will miss it. Well worth the stop and the prices are seriously...
