The food is good, don't get me wrong, but the customer service was not good at all when we went. So we placed an order around 4:30 for a sub and since we had to do other things beforehand, we placed the pickup time to be 6:30. We got there at 6:05 and they first said it will be ready in 7 to 10 mins. We did not think anything of it since we did arrive early and they were busy with other orders. We went in again around 6:15 and they said they would rush it out. Ok so they didn't keep their word the first time, that's fine they are really busy after all. So we waited for 30 mins, and they finally got the order out. Its 6:45 at this point, which is 15 mins past the order pickup time, and we waited in the store for 30 mins while other people just walked in and got their orders on time. When we were heading out my father said that it wasn't acceptable for saying they could get the order out rushed and they didnt do that at all. The woman just said ok. No apology what so ever. So if you order anything else than pizza, than you're out of luck when it comes to quickness. I understand that things can get busy and it can be hard to fulfill some orders on time. But you shouldn't say empty promises like "we'll have your order out in 10 mins or we'll rush it out". Its so much better to just say "it will take a bit since we are backed up or to day we can't rush the order before pickup time". And as an employee, you should ALWAYS apologize to the customer for inconvenience. Not just say "ok" and walk away. That really infuriated me the most. If you order a pizza, you will get your order in time most likely since that is their main dish. Anything else and it will get thrown on the back burner since it isn't their...
Read moreBEWARE -- NO GLOVES!
In the middle of a pandemic, not a single person (read: no one) in the store was wearing gloves while prepping cooked or uncooked food. All of the workers were wearing masks, but some didn't have their noses in. One person kept pulling down their mask with bare hands each time they wanted to talk to me, like their voice wouldn't go through the fabric. I watched with horror as they handled and filled sauce containers with bare hands that then went into my box of cooked chicken. I was silent, but I was screaming 😱 in my mind watching it all unfold.
Despite the tracker saying my food had been ready to pick up 10 minutes prior to my arrival, I then had to wait 20 minutes for them to cook it because they hadn't even put it in the oven. Thanks.
I realize it's warm in the store, I realize it's uncomfortable to wear a mask in there, but no gloves? No thanks.
I went home and recooked my food before eating it. I have had dozens and dozens of pizzas from various Marco's locations, but I will never be back to this location again.
Update:
Gave them a try today even though I knew better and the manager told me that they "were not participating" in the state-wide tax free holiday as if it were optional. The manager proceeded to try to correct me, talked over me, but she was flat out wrong. Another nearby Marco's got my business again. Other businesses in town have got it together this tax-free holiday, but again let down by this store. What in the world is going on over there? Hate to be them when...
Read morewe have bought pizza from this location many times. The atmosphere in the building is not as personal or friendly as it should be. Even though jobs like this are considered by many people as being just something to do on the way to something better, it doesn’t mean that we should be indifferent to people. just a little bit friendlier service at the counter would be wonderful. Most recently we had a very confusing issue, the first time that this is ever happened, where driver could not find our place, the order was under the wrong name, and by the time we got the pizza, it was not fresh out of the oven, just say the least. This is one of the only times that I have been completely disappointed in this particular location.
Did i mention I love the pizza?
It seems they have changed their Italian sausage in the past year or so. It used to be sliced on the angle so that the pieces were in a type of long angled bites which were delicious. One of our favorite toppings is banana peppers and we are charged full price for a topping although it seems that what they put on there is more of an afterthought. I hope the owners pay attention to this review because I really love the pizza and recommend it to all of our clients when they are here as we are very close to this Marcos location. certainly I’m not talking about everybody who works there. I don’t want them to feel bad about reading this. These are rather isolated incidents but have occurred more than a couple times, and could stand some...
