Great food in great surroundings! Visited for lunch, thankfully before they (understandably) sold out of their most popular options. BBQ is one of my favorite food types, and I’ve sampled it all over the country. This is honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. My 2-meat plate had an ample portion of pulled pork and a couple large slabs of brisket. Slaw and baked beans were the sides. Both also very good. (That meal could have easily fed two “normal” people, but it was yummy, I was hungry, and nobody had ever accused me of being “normal”) My wife had pulled pork with mac-n-cheese and baked beans. She was pleased with all, and was disciplined enough to have brought some of each home for later. The folks here were friendly, helpful, and patient as they took orders from some first-time BBQ customers ahead of us. Service was quick and friendly. Seating is 100% outdoors, but under cover. The view and surroundings added to the experience, especially on a perfectly warm early fall day. My only wish is that they were open longer hours, more days, and didn’t take a winter hiatus. But maybe that also makes it more special! I feel crazy for having taken so long to get here, but I’m certain I’ll be back more regularly now.

Timing is everything! I was craving brisket, so I searched for the best in Monroe County! Others reviews weren't kidding! Thank goodness it was a Saturday afternoon before 4pm! Luckily, they weren't sold out!The owners and family members were friendly and helpful. The brisket was flavorful, moist and tender, as was the pork tenderloin! Baked beans were loaded with pulled pork...yum! Cole slaw was tasty too! Glad I bought enough to have leftovers! This will be my go to BBQ place when I'm in East Tennessee!

So after my mother bragged about this place, we stopped in today and ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs with sweet bbq, and an 8oz cup of baked beans. I cant say i enjoyed the ribs. It was seasoned too much for my taste buds. The sauce wasnt the best. However, i enjoyed the baked beans... A LOT!!! I rated 2 stars but it was only based off of 2 items off the menu. I will return to purchase more baked beans and some pulled pork. Maybe i will have a better review then. The owner was very nice and welcoming. It was an inviting environment and they provide excellent customer service. If i could just rate it for character, they would have...
