The service was wonderful. We were there around 3 pm so it wasn't super busy. The Mexican Street Corn was a new experience for me and I absolutely love it! The flautas were not the flautas I'm accustomed to, but the meat was flavorful (I had carnitas in mine but they have "chicken" on the menu and they were kind enough to accommodate my request). Overall, the flautas were too crispy on the ends and chewy in the middle. The complimentary chips and salsa was about standard, except the salsa is heavy on tomato so that flavor really comes through. It's also a little spicier than what's typical at most restaurants for this appetizer offering. Still, not bad. My husband loves chorizo and gets it with every meal, when possible, when we dine at Mexican restaurants. This was no different. However, the menu says his dish (Porton Pollo) was smothered in queso, but it wasn't. He said it was a tasty meal, but not overly so. We had hoped to be wowed, but in the end, we won't go out of our way to go back, although others might enjoy this experience more than we did. I was raised with Mexican food in my life, so I'm a little picky about my Mexican food. If you go, the Mexican Street Corn...
Read moreThe food is really good. The service is great. It is different from other Mexican restaurants in the area giving it a uniqueness that makes it relevant. Everything I tried tasted different from the same items at other restaurants and that's a good thing. You can tell everything is made fresh, if not to order then at least in house daily. The appetizer chicharrones were really delicious and I haven't found them at many other restaurants in town. The soup is made to order and it really hits the spot. The carne asada meat is really good and not made from cheap cuts of tough skirt steak but rather ribeye and it is tender and delicious. The breading on the Chile Relleno is crispy and reminds me of KFC's original recipe batter which really pairs well with the soft mild heat of the pepper. If you haven't been, go. It's worth a try and I will definitely be back soon. If I had to criticize something, it would be the salsa. It tasted like slightly seasoned canned...
Read moreMy family and I went here for dinner tonight. We have 2 boys, one of which is just over 1 years old. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. She suggested several menu items and let us know about the happy hour special (BOGO for $1 margaritas all day Thursday). My husband and I shared a meal that she suggested because it was big enough. It was definitely large enough for the 2 of us and we took home leftovers. The food was really good and it was moist, none of the tortillas or the rice were dry. Most entrees come with your choice of 2 sides. I wanted the street corn but they were out (it was 50mins till closing time). However we got the rice and the steamed vegetables which were hands down the best I’ve ever had. My son enjoyed his meal and the waitress was able to accommodate my needs for our baby like getting us whole milk. We will definitely...
