Definitely a small town, down home little restaurant. After living here over a year we finally tried it out tonight. Waitress/server were very sweet and attentive. We got there just before 5:30pm on a rainy Tuesday night and sat down right away when we walked in. It's got a retro feel with the seating and divided area, and loooots of brown wood everywhere. Lol. Outside it looks like a dumpy little place but it's better inside. There isn't any decorations other than a few pictures/hangings on the wall or music playing but it feels comfortable and family friendly. While you eat your background noise is chatter from the other diners. Nothing fancy or special here but you feel at home and seems like a good neighborhood family/friend meet up for lunch and dinner spot. Food was like something you would make at home but it was affordable and fast. Meals are priced well and decent sized. We will be back and to try something different.
Came back about a month later with different company and had another good experience. Very affordable and the place looked clean. Nice attentive waitresses like last time and food is cooked very fast. Probably the fastest I've ever seen. Definitely recommend the ribeye and fries. Can't beat the price on their steak and it's pretty tender too. Their fries are more like pub fries than regular it seems like. They have really good homemade ranch too! They have several high chairs (no straps on them though) available. We came in with 4 adults and 4 kids and they didn't mind at all and took care of us right away.
Came in on a busy Saturday night last night and seated pretty quickly. I don't care for hush puppies but theirs are absolutely delicious and taste similar to onion rings for some reason. Everything was very good, served very fast but both times I've tried the catfish it was over cooked and under seasoned. Only thing I wouldn't recommend.

Read moreThey are the most consistently delicious food in town! Time and time again they replicate the dish that you had last time with no variation. And to us, that's a big thing. We find that consistently good food and service are hard to find in this neck of the woods. Moving from the city and having worked in the restaurant industry for 12 years, even opening stores for a large chain, my standards are relatively high when it comes to paying for food. I don't mind to pay for it but I want to know what I am paying for. But at Preston's, I don't have to even pay top dollar for the best around! Whether it's a salad, tea, dessert, or their incredible catfish.... you won't be disappointed! Money well spent in a business that has management and wait staff that work hard to make it what it is and that customers are...
Read moreParking lot is always full , that is what caught my eye the first week we moved to the area. Not just one or 2 days a week but every day. We went on a Friday night. It was fairly busy but our waitress was a pro. She did not miss a beat. We didn’t have to wait on her for anything matter of fact she had to wait on us! The menu wasn’t huge but it wasn’t basic either. It was actually intriguing. The didn’t overwhelm you with a million options their menu was literally sweet and simple. Burgers, fries, steak shrimp…. We went with the steak and shrimp special. It was amazing. The cook nailed it everyone’s order exactly the way they described it to the waitress. She was on it, didn’t miss a single detail. So if your driving thru the area make sure that you make this a...
