Once upon a time, the Shake Shack in Cleveland, Tennessee, was a beacon of culinary delight, a place where families gathered to savor the simple joys of life. The aroma of freshly grilled burgers and the sweet scent of milkshakes filled the air, creating an atmosphere that was both nostalgic and inviting. It was a place where memories were made, and every bite was a testament to the passion and care that went into the cooking.

But time, as it often does, has taken its toll on this once-beloved establishment. The building is worn, a testament to years gone by. The sense of community that once thrived within its walls has dissipated, replaced by a more solitary experience.

The food, once the star of the show, has lost its flare. The burgers are lackluster, the fries limp, and the milkshakes no longer hold the same magic. The prices, however, have not adjusted to this decline in quality. They remain steep, making the experience feel like a poor investment rather than a treat. The passion and care that once defined the cooking are conspicuously absent, replaced by a sense of going through the motions.

The staff, while adequate, seem to share this sentiment. Their demeanor suggests that this is just a job, a means to an end, rather than a place they take pride in. The warmth and friendliness that could have salvaged the experience are missing, leaving you with a sense of disappointment.

In a town with so many dining options, it’s hard to justify a return visit to the Shake Shack. It’s a place that once held so much promise but now feels like a chapter that’s best left in the past. Sadly, this was my last meal here, a bittersweet farewell to a place that has...

Going down to 3 stars even from five.

Keeping it 3 stars is both phillys are good and the pepper poppers are great.

However... None of the sauce that was asked of us was included. It was assummed incorrectly that the Chicken Finger we wanted was from the kids menu for whatever reason. On top of getting the incorrect Chicken Finger, is is a FREAKING SINGLE BAAAAABYYYY TENDER! I have never been ANYWHERE where they think "hey, lets include just a single 3in chicken tender in this order" They forgot our regular coleslaw. When we asked for it, the lady looks at the recipet, SEEEEES that we paid for it then asks for us to pay for it again. Then she only gives us our coleslaw in one of those little tiny sauce cups because we won't double pay! We ordered a lot of sides, and honestly even the regular sized sides could be a little bigger. You get a handful of poppers, mushrooms and corn nuggets each.

You know what, after typing this up, Im switching to one star. Having an all new food experience with the chicken figure to the icing on the cake of being told to read the receipt when it clearly shows that we ordered coleslaw.

This used to be the go to place coming from Ocoee. Gonna have to find a new one sadly. Not worth the risk. You spend $50 and have a bad time, I could get twice as much food at Taco Bell for half the price. Then pick up ice cream and make my own awesome...

We've been going to the shake shack for years but after today we will never return. We ordered $40 worth of food including shakes for everyone. One of the people in the car kept saying that the shake wasn't good, very watery. Everyone elses shakes were fine. When the waiter came back to the car we explained. He asked if it seemed like there was too much milk because sometimes that happens. He left inside with the shake only to return shortly with the same shake saying there was nothing they could do because some had been drank. If we wanted another shake we'd have to pay for it. We asked to talk to the manager. A man came to the car and told us that we ordered the shake wrong and they weren't going to make it right unless we paid for another. We tried to dispute this but he was adamant about not fixing the mistake. I accused him of having poor customer service and I expressed that the customer should always be right. He said, " Well today you're wrong!" This is the first review I've ever done. Not to say I've never had poor service but this was way beyond that. I've never been so disrespected and treated so poorly by an establishment. Sadly our family will never return to our usual stop after a long hot day...

haven't eaten here in years remembered it being good wanted to try it again. shouldn't have. portion sizes are ridiculously small and when I asked the server he said they got shipped different onion rings that were smaller. I said so you're telling me I'm paying the same amount for less food. and he didn't have an answer. I said this order of onion rings is 4.79 cents and the side of the kids side. I asked if I could have more since he stated they got smaller onion rings in and he said if I was going to pay for it. you can say what you want but in no world is this worth 4.79 cents. it's about the size of a sauce plate IMO. food was okay but customer service was mehh. won't be going back. cool looking business but prices and customer service made the experience disappointing.

Don’t take this review strongly. It’s just a reflection of my thoughts while being in this space coming from Canada. #1 I got to say it’s extremely overrated for what it is. I ended up getting a chocolate milkshake which was aight. Wasn’t terrible but there was definitely nothing special. I didn’t try the food but all around it was strange. Fireworks were being blast right beside our car and under an electrical wire. There was a fire pit with a bunch of boxes in it so ashes were flying everywhere. It was just weird. Maybe next time I’ll try the food.

This is a great little find on the way to somewhere else, we were hungry and happened upon this gem. They are like an old timey drive in, you just pull up and they walk out to your vehicle and take your order and bring it to you. They have a small seating area inside with about 6-8 booths and when you walk in a bell chimes and they come in the room and take and deliver your order there. The food and service was excellent as was the ice cream afterwards 😁.
