Five out of five of our party says they will not be back. Long wait which was fine. Waited about 10 mins for drink, we were asked if we saw the menu, I said no we dont have menu she said they were on the wall in the waiting hall. Rolls and cornbread came out we all loved the cornbread. The fried chicken is only breast and legs, I guess they keep the thighs for something else. The chicken leg bones were black almost like a rot and bone broke in half. The breast were not done at all pink inside but crispy on outside. The catfish was ok, the sides were like leftovers from yesterday's supper, spongy snd dry, my grandmother would have walked back to the kitchen threw her apron on and taught them a thing or two. I truly have no idea what the hype is about this place. One star for cornbread Second star for the scenic drive there. If you go get the ham and catfish while walking out the smoked ham smelled delish. There you go have a back yard pull up party for tailgating cornbread, ham and sweet tea back door only $10. This would be the only way I would ever come back. We ate here once before about two years ago, I could have swore I said no more but again I was outvoted and too tired to make a fuss, I would have been better off throwing a hundred out the window.

Had lunch here today for Valentine's Day with 4 adults. We waited about 15 mins which was not bad at all considering people are usually standing outside everytime we drive by. Things to know right away: ***They do not take debit or credit. Only cash or check. ***They will not give you to go bags, unless you pay for it. And there was quite a bit of leftover for the garbage which is quite disappointing. We paid for it and did not ask for more food, so we felt we should be able to take it home. Food is home style cooking. Depending on your party size depends on how many meat choices you get for the whole table (there is about 8 different choices). We got the ribs and fried chicken and then all the sides you get are the same for each table ( mashed potatoes and gravy, creamed corn, coleslaw, corn bread salad, pinto beans, green beans, cabbage, fruit salad, mac n' cheese and bread). Everything had great flavor, our only complaint is the food was cold. Nothing came out warm. We also noticed other tables had the same issue. The service was okay. $80 bucks for a family of 4 adults was quite a bit.

We first did some shopping at the adjacent store. The quality there is awesome. All the food items, spices, cheeses, butter, etc are superb. There was some excitement as we shopped for things. Afterwards, we went next door to have lunch. There was a 30 minute wait. No problem we expected that. After being seated it took a while for drinks and a small meat menu. The waitress was very nice but in a constant state of rush. There were about 8 or 9 different menu items to choose from. We were allowed two. We chose haddock and fried chicken. I'm sorry to say that neither were that good. Haddock was fried and chewy. Fried chicken had an almost tasteless breading on it and was somewhat dry. The star(s) of the food was the vegetables. A large variety and very good. You are allowed to eat as much as you want at no additional charge. It may be possible that we could eat there again in the future, but would try different menu items.

My family really enjoyed coming here. Our server was very friendly and helpful and our food was great. The only downside we had was when going to pay at the front they inform me they don’t accept cards. Now I typically carry a little bit of cash but didn’t have enough on me to cover the meal. I can tell the man behind the counter is frustrated and I’m apologizing and explaining this was our first time eating here and had no idea. His reply was we have a sign posted but no one ever reads it. I felt like this was a little rude not to mention their sign is on the top left corner of the counter where you checkout. I imagine this is probably a recurring issue because by the time you see the sign it’s too late. I would highly recommend putting a sign or stand more eye level as soon as you walk in. This would help prevent this issue or start talking card payment. Even if you passed the card fee on to the customer it would still be a nice option to prefer cash but can accept card payments if necessary. I offer to leave the cashier ( I assume he was a manger or owner) one of my cards while and I run and get cash and he tells me it’s not necessary which I though was a nice gesture of trust. However when I return with the cash he’s not there anymore and I’m left telling my situation to some one completely new and she can’t find my ticket. I tell her how many people was in our group and she gets me taken care of. Now I feel bad because I’ve eaten and now I haven’t tipped my server anything and as I mentioned she was great. So I ask the lady can you please give this money to my server and give her a description of her and she tell me no you’ll just need to go back and find her 🤦🏻‍♂️. So I walk back into the dining area standing for serval minutes awkwardly and she’s no where to be found. Finally I find the first guy who informed of of there cash and check policy and he informs me she’s already left for the day 😓. He tells me he’ll put it back for her and give it to her for me.

I would definitely come back however I’ll have cash to avoid the fiasco that I had to endure to pay my bill and my sever. Also I would definitely recommend either posting cash and check only more visible or start taking card payments because it could lead to a negative experience and cost them...

First off the entire experience was completely subpar from the beginning, when the entrée was served, as well as the signs, the white fried fish, and the fried chicken was completely burned, and was rocksolid, as well as the fish was completely dry on the inside and burned on the outside. Most of the sides were good, but most left something to be desired. After the issue was taken care of as far as the burned chicken and fish another set of chicken and fish came out that was a little bit better, but was still burned and over cooked but still edible. The atmosphere in the restaurant is extremely dark. The manager was running the cash register and asked how the food was, my father answered, and he said that the first set of entrées came out, burnt first, and the second set still left something to be desired, as far as not being over, cooked and burned. The manager immediately was enraged by this and said “we’ve been doing this for 21 years that chicken was just fine” and continue to argue with my father over the obviously over cooked and Burnt fish that even the dog wouldn’t eat. After this, the manager stated that “leave and never come back here” after she was the one who asked initially how the service was, and how the food was. If you plan on coming here, don’t expect anything good at all and if you say something incorrect, the owner might tell you to go to hell. Being expensive and not close to good and being told that my family was unwelcome over something as trivial as a comment that she asked for I would never come...

I'd have great things to say of this place, but the way my family was treated is unacceptable for a business that claims no reservation. Left home 11 am to arive at 12pm wait till 2:10 pm to be sat. Just to watch a party of 10 get sat 3:00 pm they get their food within minutes. We get told they're Nigerian called ahead and was in a hurry to catch an international flight so that's why they received our food as the arrived. The only international airport around this place is couple hours either way you go. We got served our food 20 mins after them, finished before them left watching them eat. Note all of them were adults, while our party had small children waiting for 3 hours like everyone else except these foreigners who find it so important to celebrate an American Holiday. I hope the owner finds it fun giving "favors" to people, while losing his/her waitress' tip. Just go to Pigeon Forge to Mama's farmhouse, atleast they're fair to everyone and won't waste an hour of your time. Honestly food is just better there. More options as well if you're looking for a Thanksgiving substitute. The waitress was great, but I couldn't justify giving a single dime more than what was expected after the experience. Sucks they missed out on 150 ticket because of the owners call but hopefully this reaches the owner so next time they're actually true to...
