Pepe's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Tennille

We're new to town and have been here twice. Both times our food came out incorrect. The first time our server fixed the mistake, apologized and was kind. The second time our server, Cassidy, explained to us that the burger came with onions and mushrooms, and that there was 'ALSO a bacon one', which we took as a separate burger choice. So my husband says, ill take the bacon burger and asks what else comes on it, she says lettuce, tomatoes, and raw onion on the side. What's delivered to the table was the burger with onions, mushrooms, and bacon. My husband is allergic to mushrooms and we tried to explain to the server what went wrong in the communication, she argued instead of listening and cut us off while we were mid-scentence and walked away. She took the burger back to the kitchen where they attempted to scratch off the mushrooms. Came back and still had pieces of mushrooms on it. So he didn't eat any of it and we left. Had she just heard us out instead of cutting us off and walking away I wouldn't be leaving this review. I was a server for a long time and usually offer a lot of grace for mistakes, but haven't been treated that poorly in a long time. Gave 2 stars because the first time the server was new and more...

This place has the worst customer service EVER!! The Texas rice is so dry and when extra cheese sauce was purchased, they left it off. Once I got home and realized it, I called and was told to come back and the cheese would be ready. I had to drive almost 10 miles back to the other side of town and the same waitress who I had just called and advised that they left it off, who in turn told me to come back and they’ll have it ready made me go back to get the dry Texas Rice that she’d just given me!!! Horrible customer service experience!! I know Marcella and Pepe very well and I’m very disappointed but this was my first and last time supporting this new location. If you knew that you had just taken my money and given me my food less that 20 mins prior to me returning, why would you basically make me go back to get the rice when you had just told me to come back to get the cheese?? A large space for seating, yet a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and wonderful. Our waitress suggested the Passion fruit margarita and it was the best margarita I have had in a long time. The food was just as fantastic, I got the mango Salmon. My husband got the shrimp and Scallops. Everything was cooked perfectly. This place is without a doubt a 10 out of 10 for us. We had such a wonderful time I didn't even get pictures of everything.
