The Pizza Bar — Restaurant in Tewksbury

My girl and me found this place by accident on our way to a canobie lake park trip. This was the best accident To ever happen to us! The service was great and the food is absolutely Amazing!!! I’m a restaurant manager in Seaport and love to eat, so I definitely know a thing or two when it comes to great food and this place blows anything in Boston outta the water! The service was great, kid at the counter wearing a one piece shirt was definitely extremely friendly and we hit it off right away, the atmosphere was more modern with a nostalgic kinda feel to it (TVs were playing Tom and Jerry) and music was almost sounding like your in a video game, cool lil decours like a food sign made out of a bike! now let talk about the food… I got a Texan BBQ burger, it was a big juicy patty that had to be over a pound topped with about a half of pound of bacon cook to perfection , it had onion rings to add a crunch, cheddar cheese and a sweet and Smokey bbq sauce! My gf got “the real greek which again was gigantic (2 chicken breast grilled perfectly, then a bunch of toppings like lettuce tomato they even put French fries on her burger. And they definitely did not skimp on anything for example I remember counting 6/7 tomato slices, they must use a half tomato for 1 sandwich. Both burgers also came with waffle fries again cooked to perfection!!!! This place is truely a 💎!!! The only negative is they are so far away from where I live, because I want to try everything on their menu after eating there just once!!! Regardless I will be driving 30-40 min each way just to go back there. It’s worth the gas...

Okay so I have been to this place twice only because I happen to come right off the highway and it happens to be the only sub pizza place in area. I have been to this place twice so far one by accident and second because I had no other choice at the time. First of all, their food is not that great. Secondly, very OVERPRICED!... almost seems like a rip off for what you get. The people here with great reviews must be their friends LOL. They have so many people working at this place that I think that's why the owner boost up the price so he can pay for his employees it's the only thing that makes sense this is just a regular sub and pizza place. The guy at the register is nothing but a sales agent saying they have more in quantity which is a total lie in my opinion. The first time I went I had a ham and cheese sub which was smaller than expected the second time I went I had a slice of pizza which was super small for $5!!! I will never go back to this place again I don't like getting ripped off for little food. Even the employee told me that his owner is Greek and he does things differently blah blah blah... even in Greece they don't charge this much somebody is trying to make a quick Penny here!... I will spend the extra gas just to go to some place else that doesn't charge as much will never go here again no excuse for overcharging the prices here when other places have the same quality of food for less money $15 Subs Plus tax?.. give...

Went for the first time tonight because friends recommended this place. Ordered the mellow pizza and I ordered a kids cheeseburger(no cheese) for my daughter. I asked them if they could add lettuce and tomato, but they said that they could not. I know this sounds ridiculous, because they literally were making salads and subs in front of me, but I even offered to pay extra for a slice of tomato and a piece of lettuce- they went and asked someone in the back and then came back to tell me it was not possible! I could not wrap my head around this- I was speechless. They said it’s just always been their rule. We ended up just ordering an adult burger for her, because that one came with lettuce and tomato (for an extra $8). I don’t know-this just put a bad taste in our mouth from the start. The pizza was good, but for the price we paid for a 10” pizza and burger, I don’t think it’s worth it. Not sure what the hiked up prices are for if we are ordering at a counter, picking the food up, and cleaning up after ourselves. Definitely not worth the hype. (My husband was also bothered by the fact that they didn’t have ketchup bottles for the table. He had to squeeze about 10 packets of ketchup for my daughter! Lol) When my husband asked to speak to a manager on the way out he was told she couldn’t be found, which seemed about on par with the customer service we received...
