Bea's Donuts — Restaurant in Texas City

I went in about 30 minutes before they closed, and the Asian man behind the counter looked at me, but didn't acknowledge me. I said hello and he didn't even nod his head or smile. A young woman came out from the back and greeted me. So I thought maybe he doesn't doesn't speak English. I shrugged it off. She took my order and was very sweet. Then the man who ignored me as I walked in, came out front and told her not to step where the floor was wet. So I was wrong in assuming he ignored me because his English was subpar. He was just rude.

They were already mopping when I walked inside, so there was a really strong chemical smell. I understand wanting to leave at closing time, but they could have left that for last, after the food was put up. It only takes a minute to mop. (Trust me I've had to mop at much larger places than this donut shop.)

I noticed they still had full trays of kolaches, it made me curious about what they do with the food they don't sell.. But I went ahead and ordered one sausage and cheese kolache and 1 dozen donut holes. The donut holes were good flavored and soft, but the kolache tasted stale. Lady who help was very rude and ignorant , had me come 3 times to make things right from 4:20am to 4:50 .Walked in the first time they ignored me for a bit then got help I got my drink and asked for 2 kolaches was about $10.Got home checked and there was only one then came back and asked for the missing one the lady proceeded to argue with me for several minutes and try to talk herself out of it and blame it on me .Still had to buy the missing one ,was leaving and heard her talking about me.Food was cold and nasty had came back with the item to ask for a refund lady proceeded to argue and say it’s normal for it tasted bad turned away and said yes I will refund it to your card and walked away I waited and she look at me with a nasty face and said “ I said I will refund it to your card”. Been wanting a donuts for a while. Should have followed my mind and went to shipleys. Asked for 1/2 dozen glazed and bag of donuts holes. Lady came back with 1 dozen. I told her that's not what I said. But, it was alright. $11.61. The damn donuts weren't even hot !. They were cold. I have never gotten cold donuts from Shirley's @ 8am. Galveston county is so freaking sorry ! People suck. Who the hell wants cold donuts on a winter morning. Waited for hot donuts for a while. This ruined it for me. Never again! Definitely not at...
