I drive 18 wheelers and have wondered into a multitude of bbqs all over Texas. What do I like in bbq? Smoke, after all, that's what sets bbq apart from just seasoning steak and throwing it in/on the oven. I tried 4 corners boudain and brisket, as brisket is the the one meat I always ask for, a star is lost only for comparing to brisket I preferred from other bbq places. It wasn't as smokey tasting as the boudain they have, and it wasn't as juicy as some places where the fat literally falls off the meat as you pick it up, no, not nearly that juicy even. However, it is good, and the sauce is definitely worth some to go. However, I'm one of those who believe that great sauce is often just a cover up for poor bbq, that's not entirely the case here, but I do recommend you use some of their bbq sauce with your brisket. As I am a guy who orders burnt ends any time they are available, you might be very pleased with the meat just the way it is.
The cheesy chicken chili soup is awesome. I asked her to exchange a side and I'd pay the difference for the soup, and never shall I regret it. It's great soup if it's available. The boudain was also quite good, no complaints.
The decor is efficient, and very comfortable, there's a lot more room for people than it looks from outside. The workers were stressed out tho, it is busy here, definitely a good choice for a business in Texas.
The baked potatoes are very popular, I didn't order one but I seen that 50% of the plates the server brought through the door had one, so that might be something worth trying. All in all, when comparing bbqs with bbqs only the top 5% would get 5 stars from me, but this place would definitely be within 15% anyways, and the prices aren't awful either, as with most bbq places. You can do much worse at $11 for two meats that came out with...
Read moreBy far the worst BBQ I have ever had. The ribs were over cooked and dry the boudain was DJs heated up I'm pretty sure. The sausage I got was spicy kind but it was just that very spicy and no flavor. No smoke content on any of the meat and their BBQ sauce is overly spicy to hide the fact that it is bland is my guess. Their potato salad which is a must for BBQ for me was basically cold mashed potatoes not a bit of flavor oh and they cannot even make a decent grilled cheese for my son. They had bread and still chose to make a grilled cheese using a smashed hamburger bun. They are also extremely overpriced for their quality of food. The atmosphere is terrible their workers are monotone and show no sign they are happy to be at work or serve you. The eating area in the restaurant is mediocre at best and when we sat down we were in a super quiet room with a big TV that was set on a ghost Hunter show on low volume. I ordered the 3 meat plate and my wife got the special and two large teas cost over $30 will NEVER return. Especially when Buds BBQ is right on Garth and 100 times better taste, quality, atmosphere, and personality in...

My spouse and I are staying nearby for a week and looked up local eateries. The reviews on this place were stellar. I thought I'd found a freaking hole in the wall gem. But no. That was not the case.
Reason for 2 stars: One of the only options around, good service, tasty BBQ sauce. Why no more stars: I didnt like a single meat option. Neither of us did actually. The jalapeno sausage and brisket dipped in BBQ sauce is the only 2 things we'd eat again if we had to go back. Sadly, I'm not planning on doing that again.
I love food. I didnt get all my extra lbs by eating veggies. Im a born and raised Texan. If you like, love, or heck have even had okay Texas BBQ and want it again, dont go here. Normally I'd give a restuarant the benefit of a doubt saying "maybe it was an off day" but there is no way on earth. Did you see all we tried??? I didnt like the beans or potato salad either. Yes, I was fat upset and still...
