I really cannot fault this place for ANYTHING. They nail everything from the atmosphere to the decor to the friendliness to the cleanliness. We left incredibly satisfied and eager to tell our friends and family about our experience. I’m trying to be as unbiased as possible being that I am an Armed Forces veteran and this is decidedly an Americana establishment. (If you or someone you know has served in the military they are allowing pictures to go up on their walls, just FYI.) But it really was just an all-around pleasant dining experience. I had the “Uncle Sam” burger and I gotta day, for the money, best burger you’re gonna get in Lubbock bar none. I chose for it to come served on the “jalapeño bun,” as opposed to sourdough and man am I glad I did. What was presented was more like two pieces of ever so slightly sweet, pan-seared jalapeño cornbread with a good old-fashioned American bacon cheeseburger between them that tasted like your dad or grandad just scraped it off the grill he’s owned for twenty some-odd years. And I mean that in the best way possible. Everything here tastes like you should be at a family cookout or a family gathering from the burgers and brauts (my wife’s “Babe Ruth” dog was especially tasty with its mix of a pretzel bun, Muenster cheese and Dijon mustard) to the homemade seasoned potato chips. And then there’s the dessert. Not only did BOTH owners stop by our table and see how we were doing but one of them took the time to share with us how much love she puts into her desserts and you can TASTE it. My wife’s homemade pumpkin pie with homemade pumpkin spice whipped cream is the best I’ve ever had and the same can be said of my “chocolate sin,” pie. TL;DR: If you’re looking for good, wholesome down-home American cooking and have some love in your heart for our military and this country, you won’t go wrong here. Clean, quick and friendly service that never leaves you wanting for anything, great decor and AWESOME food at an even BETTER price. Look no further. I’m serious. If you have a $10 in your pocket and you’re jonesing for a burger, give Whataburger a hard pass and go here instead. I promise you won’t regret it.

My wife said he wanted some good old American home style cooking so I hit google to find a place to try. I found this place and the reviews seemed good so we headed over to try it out. I liked the décor of the place a lot. It had a real old fashion café feel to it. The menu prices though were a lot higher than I expected from such a small old style establishment, but I felt that if the food was as good as the place looked, it would be worth it. Well, I honestly would not call this home style. The best way to describe this place is as a Greasy Spoon. I mean, everything they brought out was flat dripping with greases. You could have wrung the fries out they were so soggy with oil. As far as flavor, it was grease and salt. That was pretty much the taste of everything. And then there was the desert. We two deserts. Apple cobbler and key lime pie. That had to be the greenest piece of key lime pie I have ever seen. I bet the cook had to use a whole bottle of green food dye to get it that color. That apple cobbler was not bad, but that key lime pie was pretty much inedible. Try to imagine the most concentrated form of lime juice concentrate you have ever tasted. Talk about puckering your mouth. It was hard to believe that a restaurant could get such a simple pie so wrong. I am giving this restaurant three stars because I I like to support small business. It is a nice little restaurant that deserve a much better cook. I wish them success, but I will not be back. The prices are way to high for the quality of the food they sever. I like the décor and the ambiance, but food is the most import thing I am looking for when I go to a restaurant. As Paul Hollywood would say on the, "It was not worth the calories". If I am going to pay that much to clog my arties up, it had better blow my mind with taste. All American Eatery & Catering Co did not accomplish this goal.

My wife and I ate here for the first time for our anniversary, and went in with pretty high expectations based on other reviews. We were greeted right away and offered a table but chose a booth with no objection from our hostess. The place was packed around 7pm, and it still felt like we had our own area. Our waiter was attentive but not too chatty which was ok since I was hungry, she checked in often and made us feel important. As I said we had high expectations, and were not disappointed. My wife had a salad, and raved about how it was really good and hard to find a good salad at restaurants. I splurged and went for the steak finger plate, with fries as well as a burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was cooked perfectly with a thick sour dough bun, and didn't disappoint. The sweet potato waffle fries were unique to me, and had good flavor aided by some type of seasoning it was cooked with. The steak fingers were really great and lived up to the reviews. They reminded me of Buddy's Drive In, in Andrew's, TX which is a great thing if you've been there. The fries were oily, and a big soggy but you're talking about homemade fried fries, you shouldn't expect anything less than some southern fried delights. Pair it with gravy and it cuts the oil down a bit, and makes it even better. Oh and they* have the sonic type of ice, my wife loves that kind so if that's you or your wife, consider it an added bonus. I would return and eat here again, if you're able to, go and try the food, the atmosphere, and watch a game on the TVs while you eat.

I talked to Abel, the owner, and he was really nice and apologetic over what all happened and understood my frustrations. He insisted that he makes us the exact burgers we ordered and was willing to do anything to make things right.

I wasn’t looking for a free meal, and that’s what I told him. But was very thankful I got to talk to him about the experience we had so that it could be fixed. We we def will try the Wolfforth location so that Miles can try his Donut Burger 🍔:)

I don’t EVER leave bad reviews. But im appalled by this customer service we had tonight
.

All American Eatery & Catering Co. (in Lubbock) DO BETTER!!!

Let me first start by saying ‘I’ made the mistake and didn’t realize there was two locations and when I placed the to-go order I called in to the location 25 minutes away vs 2 minutes away.

I immediately realized what I did and called and asked if they could give me a refund so I could call in to the right location. I was told: “no, we can’t refund you but I can tell my kitchen to cancel the order.” (How does that benefit me?) I even asked if they could have the other location make it (hopeful asking) but that was a “no”. Since it was my mistake anyways we left and headed that way to get our order.

ON OUR WAY THERE I get a phone call that the 2 burgers we ordered were NOT available. I asked if they could refund then and was again told “no” so at this point I basically told them to make us anything similar!

We get there and Miles runs in to grab our order and comes out with one tea, not two, when I questioned he said they told him I didn’t pay for 2 so they only gave him one just to be nice. I quickly checked my email receipt and I DID in fact pay for 2 so I went inside where I was told that I didn’t pay for the tea and had to show proof that I did before she poured it for me — (EVEN IF I DIDNT PAY FOR 2 TEAS I just drove round trip 50minutes for 2 burgers I didn’t even order & they didn’t even have the correct pie for Miles either— our whole order was wrong and yet they wanted to make a huge deal about 2 teas????)

I admit I am the one who made the initial mistake, but dang when they realized they didn’t have the food we ordered and still refused a refund why wouldn’t they try to call it in to the Wolfforth location then?

Bottom line— I will give the Wolfforth location a try because my husband raves about this place when he’s at work, but I will never go to the Lubbock location again and am very disappointed in the lack of customer service we...
