I kept seeing neighbors posting pictures of this pizza and how everyone was raving so I just had to make a trip and try it for myself. Fortunately, we live in Spicewood so it was a short drive. You can call in your order, or place it online which is what I did. After ordering, they will give you a time estimate but today they were exceptionally busy. Fortunately, someone called and let me know it was going to take longer. They are located just a stones throw off 71 and very easy to find. You really can't miss them; they built a really nice covered patio area where you can sit and wait or dine right there. They advertise pulled pork and brisket for their pizza along with the traditional toppings. I ordered a pepperoni with Italian sausage, fresh sliced mushrooms and sliced pickled jalapenos. When I picked up the pie and got into the car, the smell from the pizza made me want to pull over right then and have a slice. Even I live just minutes away, I didn't want to wait the smell is so enticing! First, they use fresh herbs and the sauce is like something you would expect to get in New York City. Too many places serve very bland red sauces on their pizza but the sauce alone is amazing! The meats (pepperoni and sausage) were also quality as well as the veggies. The cheese was good but I wanted to try it with the fresh Mozzarella. Unfortunately, they were out today so I will have to give it a try another time. They also have deep dish pies but for now, they only have medium size pies. Bottom line, this is the best pizza we have had since moving to Texas and this includes anything in Austin. With the growth that is going to happen up in this area, I can only imagine how popular this place will become. Hopefully in the future they will have large sizes as well. You won't be disappointed if you have one of their pizzas. I just recommend ordering ahead because they do take a bit of time. But it's certainly worth the wait. We have found our "go to" pizza place!

This establishment is heaven sent. You will not find a better Detroit style pizza place in the state of Texas. But that’s not all; there is not a bad thing on the menu. Cracker thin crust, Cheesey Bread, New York Style, PIZZA ROLLS! If you like a Cuban Sandwich then you will love their “Cubano” If you don’t like a Cuban Sandwich; you will still love this pizza. Too amazing not to experience at least once in your lifetime. They also make their own beer. Wow! It seems to me; from my experience, that Brack’s Backyard is capable of delivering high quality food, service, and atmosphere anytime they are open. As long as the gates are open you will not be disappointed in this establishment. I like some other pizza places in the hill country but Brack’s Backyard we completely love. Lastly pet friendly on a leash. Need I say more. Bravo Zulu!

This place is brand new! Beautiful patio with an upcoming beer garden! Drove down a newly paved road with ranches on each side wondering if we would really find a pizza place. Then there was a clearing with signs and a welcoming entrance - and a shiney food truck! Instantly the family went to work explaining their menu, what was available by the slice and that it would take 30 minutes for a whole pizza. So, we decided on an assortment of slices. My husband prefers thin crust and i tried the Detroit slice. It was soooooo yummy! The bread was soft and the sauce was delish! All four of us loved our choices! We really hope this family is successful!! Its gonna be one of our new fav stops when in Spicewood!

We placed an order online for 3 pizzas 30 minutes before they closed. I called to make sure it was okay because the ready time was 30 minutes after they close. They assured me they were going to make ours and would call me when I should head that way. A thunderstorm came through and there was a ton of rain. We received a call and text letting us know our food was ready. We got there and they walked our pizza to our car with an umbrella. Talk about customer service! It’s so nice to encounter this caliber of people these days. They even text me after to make sure we made it back home safe because all of the rainfall.

I didn’t touch on the pizza…it was fantastic!! Some of the best we have ever had. New York style was spot on!! Thank...
