Crawfish Kings — Restaurant in Texas

Sad that I have to do this since we’ve always loved this place, but it’s a must. I came here to introduce our Canadian visitors for their first time trying crawfish and thought this would be great experience for them to have for dinner. We were at the drive-thru with 2 cars ahead of us apparently waiting for their orders. A girl with long blonde hair finally came out with their orders, saw my car and didn’t even bother to check if we had ordered already. She went inside and we thought she was going to come right back out so we patiently waited (mind you no car behind me yet). Still patiently waited for her return because I know how it is… 30 minutes had gone by and that same girl we saw at the drive-thru was in the patio taking order from a group of guys… she saw us but acted like she didn’t then a truck got in the line behind me. Friend with me was starving, and we had her family looking forward for what we’ve been bragging about from Crawfish Kings. Disappointed and embarrassed I was 🙄 ordered online only to wait another 30 minutes for it and finally an older lady came out to take our order, but I had already made my order online (with 3 cars already behind me). After FINALLY receiving our order, my excited visitors finally got to try only to have overly seasoned crawfish (I’m pretty sure I didn’t ask for extra salt on any of my orders of medium and a LA Hot!) The pound of shrimp I received was less than 1 pound (my kids got a pound from Crawfish Shack literally the night before the visitors arrived which was so much more than we got from here!) Again, disappointed and embarrassing it was serving our visitors food we’ve been bragging about from here to not just late (8:30pm) dinner, but also having overly seasoned (SALTY) medium half of the orders and LA Hot not tasting like LA Hot at all. Adding to that was finding no butter, lemons/limes and cocktail sauce was in any of the bags...

Ok first and foremost I grew up eating Crawfish so I look for QUALITY and SERVICE aka " I'M PICKY." I got tired of eating at OTHER famous shacks that are sooo overrated w/ there long lines so I was referred to CRAWFISH KINGS. As soon as I entered I was attended by there nice staff, I placed an order of Medium and Hot crawfish which normally takes approximately 30 mins to an hour for your crawfish to be ready, and i was impressed with there timing 15 mins to be exact. The crawfish was seasoned, good taste, good chewy texture, JUICY, easy to peel, and fresh. In between the course of eating, the staff were very nice and attentive. I also did try the sausage and corn, it was very good and not soggy like others. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and despite any bad or future REVIEWS. I am definitely coming back and referring this place to others... if they keep up this good work it won't be to long before they START living up to there NAME..... I'm still a picky...

We went as a group of four to celebrate Mother’s Day, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Our food was brought out at completely different times—one person had already finished eating by the time the next plate arrived. The restaurant was only about 25% full, so there was no clear reason for the delay.

We ordered crawfish and shrimp, but the last shrimp order never came. We were told they “ran out” and someone had gone to get more—but by then, we had already finished eating and never received the order.

At first, I thought our waitress was new, but she told me it was the kitchen staff who were new. I asked to speak to the manager, and she went in and out of the kitchen only to come back and say she was the assistant manager.

Cleanliness was also an issue, but I’ll let the video speak for itself.

Overall, it was a terrible Mother’s Day experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place and definitely won’t...
