Absolutely delicious. You can tell the food here is made with love like breakfast from home. 🄰 This lil gem is off 271/155 going toward UT Health Center near Big Sandy. Donut Palace has ALL the goodies & favs. My all-time fav is the Large Jalapeño "pig-in blanket". If you can stop here on your travels, you definitely need to!

We got some eclairs from here and they were flat and hard. I’ve never seen anyone sell eclairs like that. It was not good.

The thing about east Texas is that its still dark a 5AM in the morning and what I saw is the donut palace with there back door wide open with full view of the kitchen and a man in the kitchen kneading dough making doughnuts which means all the fine east Texas bugs like flies, nats, cockroaches, termites, and june bugs and every good old fashion flying bug was flying toward the lights in the kitchen and with the millions of bugs here means there all flying right into the dough and being kneaded into it and once the doughnuts are made your getting a nice hidden surprise in them I guess insects are there secret ingredient cause there is no way a person who leaves the back door open to the kitchen when it is still dark can stop millions of bugs from flying toward the light they are attracted to so remember that the next time you eat here there secret ingredient is bugs caused by the back door being open at night so they have a nice warm welcome straight into all that dough I once gave this place a 4 star review but changed it after I saw this happen this morning so unless you like eating flies, roaches, and all the wonderful east Texas bugs I suggest you go some where else but if eating bugs is your thing then this place is just right for you somebody must have read this cause now they are closing the door partially but still leaving it open I guess in the early morning hours they think they can fool people instead of leaving the door all the way open they just leave it half way open now so they can still get there secret ingredients to fly in the door and straight to the dough but it still obvious cause its night time and the lights are on...

It's just a little shop on the side of the road but they have an excellent selection of breakfast pastries. The kolaches are fantastic with or without jalapenos. The donuts were light and fluffy and the donut holes were perfect. I also had an apple fritter that was probably one of the best I've had in some time. There are also drink refrigerators, and a drive thru. The proprietors were very friendly, service was quick, and the place was clean. Very...
