No escondan mi review.
I have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years. Today is my last time coming here. I arrived at 2pm and I always check online the times so i don’t arrive at closing. The maps state they close at 7pm. I order my food with my family, ask for the salsa that goes on the table she told me No because im closing. Gave me three salsas for 6 tacos and got upset when i asked why she said we close at 2:30 thats what time we close i said well online states different. She got frustrated. I than asked if i could pay after i eat she said no the law has been changed when i came here saturday sat down and ate and paid for all my food and drinks. I than told her she should let who ever deals with online so they can change the times they are open and she told me “ let me speak okay” in spanish. I have never been treated this way especially at a place ive been too for so long. So sad to see our favorite small businesses lack in customer service. Turn people away because they state they close early and while i dine i cant have salsa i have to ask for it in small amounts. Very disappointed in this place. I come from new caney and i rather go to aldine mail rat instead of here from now on. Hope management sees this review because I take my reviews very seriously. I had my eldery grandmother with me and she told me i had to leave because she had to mop. As she saw her eating . God bless her even tho she mistreated us. I hope management reaches out to me because as you can see I have God on my side....
Read moreHorrible experience. The ladies in the front discriminate so badly. I would not recommend anyone of color to eat at this place. My family and myself decided to stop and have breakfast Saturday morning at El Mexsal. We were in line waiting patiently, there were 3 guys ahead of us. They were paying separately. Each guy had 3 tacos. Each tach was so FULL and piled with meat on the tortilla that the meat begin to fall out. When the lady in the front got to us, we spoke to her and told her what we would like. As she grabbed the paper plate on top and a piece of foil paper, the then started to prepare our tacos. She grabbed the spoon and placed our beans on the taco and then grabbed the spoon for the meat. As she was grabbing the meat the lady begin to “shake” the spoon to let majority of the meat fall and we get what’s remaining from the spoon. We all seen the other guy’s tacos (the last guy was the last one out of the 3 that were paying at the register) and looked at ours it was a complete disgrace!!!!! All of our tacos had one thin line of meat on our tacos. No we didn’t want extra, we just wanted to be treated fairly. And NO, none of the guys did not pay for extra meat!
You can feel the unwelcoming of this place if you are of color. The manager of this place should be aware of what kind of people are working in their establishment. Will NEVER...
Read moreEl MexSal in Houston on Lee Rd. and 59 near IAH is one of Houston's best kept secrets. The Mexican food here is simply the best! The place is beautifully decorated, extremely clean and hygienic, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The menu here is amazing with plenty of options to choose from, and each one is made fresh and delicious. Their tacos are a must-try, they are mouthwatering - chewy on the outside and fresh on the inside. We also loved their burritos, quesadillas, and chips and salsa too. Everything was so tasty! Plus, the prices are really affordable, so you can enjoy a great meal without breaking the bank. Overall, if you are a fan of Mexican food, El MexSal is a must-visit. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended!
One thing that makes El MexSal even more special is that they make their flour tortillas from scratch. The result is a fluffy, soft tortilla that is perfect for wrapping your favorite burrito or taco fillings. It's a little touch that adds so much to the overall flavor and experience of dining...
