In Houston we just had a hurricane yesterday so food is a little scarce so I dropped off someone nearby.

I decided to stop in this establishment because I was referred to this place by a mutual friend.

when I got in, they had a large menu so I really didn’t know what I wanted so it took me a little while.

After looking over the menu, I finally decided to get a combo.

It came with grill fish and your choice of two sides. I went with onion rings and green beans.

Well the green beans tasted as if they just opened a can of green beans and put them on my plate so I wasn’t happy with the taste of the green beans.

I asked them if I could get something else and the lady at the register was like no the green beans are good and she was kind of giving me a little bit resistance about giving me a different item on the menu.

She wanted to charge me and I told her no.

I didn’t wanna pay for anything else.

I just wanted to get something in place of the green beans.

She was giving me a little attitude because I didn’t want the green beans so I just told her to give me my money back.

Today I am very hungry due to the storm we just had.

I didn’t have a good experience at this place at all. I am quite disappointed to say the least.

Will I come here again...

I come here for the Chicago dogs and beer. The ones they make are about average ( minus the poppy seed buns like the ones up in Chicago ), but I like them. I have tried the Maxwell also and I like them, but I like polish dogs and sauerkraut. I m not sure if the Maxwell would be appetizing to the average taste though, but if you are feeling like something new or different, go for it. The ambiance is nonexistent as this is a neighborhood dive bar and a perfect fit for the likes of me when I am in the mood for a dog and a beer. The service is average but the wait times are dependant on how many people are there. I have never had to wait in line, but they make your dogs to order and it takes approximately 10 minutes or so. You can eat right by where the kitchen is it walk into the bar and eat if you want a beer. Like most bars they have TV's on and some pretty unique decorations on the wall such as old hockey sticks. There are a few spots in Houston to get a Chicago dog but this one is convenient for me and serves...

Multiple ways to have a dog, piles of krout and a bar make this place unique. The only real turn off for me is they allow smoking inside where we are eating and the restrooms were super small. I think its rude to smoke around others when they eat. The food was good and hot. It didn't take along time to come out and they serve breakfast as well. I had a potato burrito and a sausage egg and cheese biscuit. The egg looked like that funky egg loaf but over all it had good flavor. My dinner trip the cashier was a young girl on her phone and when we asked about different things she just pointed to descriptions on the wall or called someone else. Maybe she was new, maybe management feels like an employee who is not knowledgeable is the first thing a new customer should be greeted with but i didnt like it. She wasnt rude just put off by the finger pointing. The guy in the morning was on point. Fast friendly service is what i got when i ordered ahead. WILL GO AGAIN, WILL...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Hotdog Shop on Brittmoore in Houston, and I must say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. First and foremost, the food was outstanding. The hotdogs were not your ordinary fare; they were bursting with flavor and creativity. From classic favorites to inventive combinations, the menu had something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed their specialty hotdog with unique toppings that added a delightful twist to a classic comfort food. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and every bite was a delightful journey for my taste buds. Equally impressive was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They offered recommendations and accommodated special requests with a smile, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. It’s clear that they take pride in ensuring their customers have a memorable visit.

The Hot Dog Shop is worth checking out. Since 1985 they have been serving a wide range of Hot Dog styles including Chicago, Polish, Corn Dogs, Jersey, Fire and Footlong. Make your own original by selecting 4 free toppings. They also have Burgers, Texas BBQ, and Salads and Sandwiches. Everyday has a "daily special" and you can't go wrong as most include sides like fries. They proudly brew Luzianne Ice Tea along with Coffee and soft drinks. They are open early for Breakfast at 5:30am during the week with a famous Egg Breakfast Special. I was really surprised as they stay busy. They have open seating that is straight from the 1970's and Includes a full bar. This place can be described as "divey" in a good way. It is a great Happy Hour spot with Darts and TV's for the game. Bring your friends and family and try the daily specials. Steak Night is popular starting at 7:00pm on Thursdays for only $22.

Friendly service, large variety cooked to order menu. This place has a bar atmosphere to it. Large dining area, pool tables and games. Food was good. I got the cheese fries and chili cheese dog. Food was cooked to order and was hot and fresh. The hot dogs are not the greatest compared to James Coney and I could definitely make a greater Texas chili dog at home. Don't get me wrong they are good but not the best. The hot dog shop also offers many comfort food style items such as chicken fried steak, BBQ, burgers, nachos, breakfast, steak & eggs and ice cream, cookies and pie. This restaurant also has daily lunch and dinner combo specials. I rank this place a 4 because the flavor was nothing special but there are many things about this restaurant that make it worth the visit. Great business hours, large dining area, friendly service and large menu that comes out hot and fresh.
