I just left this establishment a few minutes ago... I had the Hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and a side salad, my girlfriend had the turkey melt with fries... when we we were seated the building smelled “old” and kinda like there has been a dog on the premises. My utinsils looked like they were used in Gettysburgh old and tarnished. Overlooking that, the side salad came. There were 3pcs of lettuce with the ends of two red onions, what looked to be old cheddar cheese and thick cut tomato that was almost liquified and thousand island dressing. Every bite tasted like raw onion. We were gonna cancel the order but our food came out with 4 mins of getting the salad. The mashed potatoes were completely over cooked like mush, and didn’t have any seasoning whatsoever, the brown gravy on top tasted like raw onion. The hamburger steak while cooked decent, had cheese, raw onions, mushrooms and gravy on top. Once I scrapped that off I could “get thru” the hamburger steak while it basically tasted like onions. My GF’s Turkey Melt has cheap cheese and that thick cheap turkey meat you get from store that has a smell to it... all in all we were there about 15 mins total, which I know means our food was not cooked to order. I think they are slow on business and there food sets, for how long is anyone’s guess but from the taste I assume was awhile. On a positive note, the waitress and staff were very kind, but I would definitely never eat there again. Good...
Read moreI loved this little place when it was at it's previous location as well as at its new location next to TinCup and Los Compadres. The food is great and decently priced, the staff is always friendly and it's such a quaint little place. One of those Mom and Pop places that ends up being your favorite place to catch up with friends and family. Nothing bad to say!
**EDIT: Updating this from my previous review. We went today to try to eat for my Mom's birthday. My parents arrived first and got a table. They were given their waters and my Dad's coffee. 10 min later my husband and I arrived. We sat for another 30 minutes and not one time did our waitress ever come back to get our drink orders, nor did she even look our direction. She never stopped to let us know "hey, I'm so sorry, I'm a bit slammed, just be patient with me", nothing. Didn't even act like we were there. I understand places are busy, I've been a waitress before. But at least acknowledge your patrons. When you update them and let them know they haven't been forgotten, people tend to be more forgiving. We put some cash down to cover the cost of the coffee and we left and went somewhere else. We sat and got our food within minutes....
