Jeremiah's Italian Ice — Restaurant in Texas

Let me first preface this review with the fact that I am not usually one to complain... Me and my fiancé have come here numerous times and had excellent experiences. However, I cannot let this experience I had tonight go unsaid. I show up at 9:50pm, the business closes at 10pm. I see there is line to the door, 3 tables are already occupied. Definitely busier than any other time I have seen this location. You would think that the 2 employees would band together to pump out ice cream to get through the rush so they can close right? As a former Restaurant Manager that's what I would have done. But no... One of them disappeared in the back for about 5 minutes before coming out front to close umbrellas on the patio, take in the connect 4, turn off the menu tv's, and wipe down tables and again disappearing before the other poor girl who literally handled the rush by herself finally got to me to tell me they're out of oreos for the ice cream I wanted... My family is delighted that there’s a new Jeremiah’s Italian Ice location on Franz Rd. We were lucky enough to catch their soft opening (no pun intended!) and have been back twice since. The facility itself is adorable, very clean, and laid out really well to facilitate the flow of traffic. The outdoor seating area is super cute, and the staff does a great job of coming around regularly to those sitting outside to see if guests need anything. The Italian ice and gelati are all delicious, and my family has had great fun trying new combinations (my favorite is strawberry and mango ice with vanilla gelati) - serving sizes are HUGE, so ask for a lid if you want slightly less (or if your kids are messy like some of mine can be). Every staff member we’ve interacted with there, including the manager, has been lovely and helpful, and really well trained for a new location! Looking forward to many future visits, and definitely recommend that others...

Spend your money elsewhere! Worst experience just now! Decided to go to the drive-thru window as we've done many times before... tonight was soooo different? A worker saw us waiting at the drive-thru as he/she walked back from the trash area located on the other side of the drive-thru... we kept waiting, and no one came to the window? Saw another worker walk past the window and avoid helping us? OPEN sign still on and items still outside the window? I pulled in front of the store and asked the worker, who was mopping, if I could speak to the manager, and he/she said the manager wasn't in... ignored us and kept mopping? These two workers were not the nice, friendly ones we were used to seeing? It was 9:45pm and we couldn't get anyone to take our order? If you aren't going to honor the hours you have posted, CHANGE THEM! What happened to this location? We left frustrated......
