Con cuidado. There was a reason the parking lot was almost empty at about 10:30 am Sunday compared to the "Skillet's Restaurant" in Eagle Pass, TX, that was jam packed.
I cannot honestly recommend this place for breakfast. The waitresses need training in taking orders, checking in on you, etc. On an order for 4 adults, the meals came out sporadically in a time period of between 10 minutes and about an hour. The crew is predominantly Spanish speaking, a disadvantage if you are not bi-lingual. The cook had great difficulty with cooking bacon & the owner in instructing him/her. It came semi-raw on the plate with eggs. When a separate order was placed, it took 2 more tries before they got it cooked to even resemble "crispy".
Be prepared to order & go thru about 2 dozen flour tortillas. They serve the version that are 3.5 to 4 inches in diameter. (Your order only comes with about 4, if I recall correctly.) Those four tortillas go fast because the other adults with you are still waiting for their food to arrive. So they eat up your torts while they wait.
We had to request forks and spoons after each order arrived. Those items were not placed on the table as customary. You get plastic utensils. You have to ask for regular sugar for the coffee. Otherwise, you get the sugar-free or artificial sugar packets. The coffee cream is the powdered version, no real cream or milk unless you order it.
Don't order the enchiladas either. Nothing more to explain.
I would have liked to grade them with the symbol of: "one tip of one star" but that option doesn't exist. The one tip of the star would be for the tomato, onion with mild jalapeno "warmed" salsa. The staff and customers remained cordial. A plus all-around, or perhaps the reason plastic knives are provided.
Did I mention....where was my glass of water? Or has that custom stopped being a custom when you first arrive and get seated in this place? Yes, we paid full price for all. It was the...
Read moreFood Quality: My son's meal arrived cold and tasted off. It was unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that claims to prioritize quality.
Customer Service: The bar manager was rude when I brought up the issue. Instead of offering to replace the meal, he insisted on charging me for another dish, which felt very inconsiderate.
Overall Experience: lf you're a first-time visitor, I wouldn't recommend this place. The carelessness shown by the staff leaves a lot to be desired.
I hope the management takes these concerns seriously, as I 1. Food Quality: My son's meal arrived cold and tasted off. It was unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that claims to prioritize quality.

Read moreI usually love this place I have never had any complaints but tonight was quite the experience. We ordered two lemonades tonight and they tasted watered down. 3 of us in the table agreed so I decided to ask the waiter if they can switch it to a coke instead cause we didn’t like the taste of it. To our surprise the manager there decided against it and said I was the only customer all day to complain about the lemonade. It really tasted awful. And I was not going to pay almost 4 bucks for each one . So he said he can give me coke but I would still have to pay for the lemonades. He said he was not going see if the customers liked the drinks or not. Once u order it u pay it. No thanks. I said cancel my order. I didn’t need their rudeness and his treatment was uncalled for. This has been one of my favorite restaurants cause the food is very good and I go on a weekly basis and have never encountered this before there but because of this I doubt I will be going back. They acted as if I was asking for too much just for replacing my drink. We went elsewhere and had an even better time and were treated...
