Mr. Donut — Restaurant in Texas

We visited this location expecting great food and great customer service. Well, the restaurant struck out on both expectations. First, the donut holes were not fresh and tasted like they’d been sitting overnight. Meaning l, they tasted the opposite of fresh. My wife ordered an egg and cheese croissant and we expected the eggs to be scramble fresh and and the sandwich to be made to order. Instead the pulled a ready made sandwich from the display tray and thew it in the microwave! The egg wasn’t fresh and the cheese was discolored and looked like it had been setting out on the counter for some time. As far as customer service, the cashier was rude and tended to tell us more about what he couldn’t do as opposed to what they could do and doing it well. I recommend that they complete some staff training on customer service. This was a total let down and I won’t be back to...

The green sprinkled donuts had a chemical taste. They were thrown away.

I was not satisfied with the customer service. The guy was pushy. Then wanted to give me the ugly donuts 🍩. So I kindly asked him change it for better ones . When it was time for payment he told me my total but didn’t show the screen. I usually leave a tip and confirm payment but my card didn’t go through twice so I paid with cash. But it made me think was he going to give himself a tip and confirm payment for me? I used to come here (even tho it’s out of my way) because I heard their business was doing bad so I wanted to support a small business . But I rather just move on to the next...

This store is fantastic— the proprietor is extremely friendly, helpful, and generous. The Vietnamese iced coffee is my favorite morning pick-me-up, and the donuts are soft and delicious. My sons love the kolaches, particularly the brisket or boudin ones. I’m also a big fan of the sausage breakfast tacos! My wife enjoys the strawberry or mango smoothies, and this shop will help Taylor how sweet/strong they make the smoothies for you!

I strongly encourage folks in northern Houston to support this locally owned and run small business!
