Worst experience in fast food ever. The afternoon shift from 2-10 is so rude. They're slow to get orders expedited. On multiple occasions when ordering here inside I have seen every food safety rule and guideline being ignored. Food temps are severely off. They also do not throw away their food after their suggested hold time is expired. I have witnessed them taking already cooked food from their holding trays and re-frying items from French fries to cheese sticks. Their footlong coneys are all cooked at the beginning of the day at 5 am and nothing else cooked until they are out completely. That being said 3 months ago I even took up a job at this particular store to help the store gain customers and to help what I thought was run it accordingly as per my food safety certification requirements. However after witnessing their poor cleaning practices and how they prepare assemble and serve I chose to quit. I continue to be a customer of theirs for 3 months after up until my last visit for takeout and the disgusting food I was served that actually had a dead gnat In my chilli cheese coney. Would recommend trying a different sonic location due to health hazard concerns with food temps hold times and cross contaminated items.
I would like to add given proper management the store could do so much better however the managers that they have running it right now regardless of their time working at Sonic or not the best managers. On my 3 Rd day of work I walked in to witness the GMs grandson sitting on the order counter and running through the kitchen until a customer mentioned it to the store manager and assistant store manager and all they did was tell at the customer refused their payment and order and told the customer to leave. I have to say tho. I agreed with the customer it's unsafe and unsanitary. However, this past Tuesday evening was the last straw when I bit into a crispy chicken sandwich that was raw inside! I called the restaurant to request a refund for just that one item and the manager available said she did not know how to issue a refund for mobile orders. She asked that I call back the next day to speak with the GM, Rose. When I called back today, the person that answered the phone said Rose was on a call and that she would have her call me back. She then hung up, without getting my name, number or general concern! I called the corporate office, at this point I just want my refund and don't want to have to track people down to get it. Well, after explaining my disgust with the raw food item I bit into, this customer service rep offers me a coupon for some chicken popcorn and a $5 gift card! I ordered large tots with cheese and a # 8 combo with large tots with cheese and the tots were crunchy as if it had been sitting up for hours. The jumbo chicken wasnāt fresh. I didnāt realize until Iām at home. You know how chicken appears when you tear it open it has that dry look as if itās been sitting up. This is on management and the people they choose to hire and run their facility. I rarely see cars. Theyāre never busy like chic-fil-a and I see why. They werenāt busy when I went and the person who bagged this food and had the audacity to serve to the public shows how much you donāt care about what you serve to the customer. They need new management and a new crew.
