Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Texas

On Saturday night, December 14th, we arrived in Amarillo and wanted to grab a quick bite before heading to our hotel. We decided to stop at the Sonic located at 14901 I-27 Suite B, Amarillo, TX 79119. Unlike most Sonics where you eat in your car at the drive-in slots, this location had a dine-in option, which was a nice and unexpected change.

As we checked out the menu, David, who I believe is the manager, was extremely patient with us. He gave us time to decide and even suggested a few items we might enjoy. His friendly and helpful demeanor made us feel welcome from the start.

While we were waiting, I noticed a clear Sonic slushie cup filled with what looked like fruit on the counter. Naturally, I tried to grab it, only to discover it was glued down! David, my wife, and I all had a good laugh over it. It was such a funny and unexpected moment, and it added a little lightheartedness to the evening.

Overall, this was one of the best Sonic experiences we’ve had. The service from David was excellent, and the atmosphere at this location was inviting and fun. If you’re in Amarillo, this Sonic is definitely worth a visit. We left with full stomachs and smiles...

The new queso wraps. They taste good. They're very tiny though. So if you're hungry and you're a man you'll need about 8 of these small bite size burritos. Good. But small. For like midgets. And babies. New born babies. Hungry new born babies. But for a grown man you'll need 8. Maybe 10 of these. Super sonic burrito in bidenomics is just a skinny burrito with barely any filling and a lot of tortilla shell wrapped up to make it feel nice and firm. Enjoy your tortilla shell with little filling. :)

Wow, I can't believe this Sonic location didn't have photos until I just added them because it's a very nice location. Plenty of indoor seating, great lighting, cheery environment and FRIENDLY employees.

I normally order the French toast sticks and although I found them awesome at this location initially I've found with subsequent visits that they are hit/miss. Unfortunately they're usually a miss due to being over fried. They recently changed the syrup brand to Mrs. Butterworth's original; idk why the change but I prefer the previous brand but Mrs. BS has been around forever so I may be in the minority there.

I am always greeted upon entering, service is prompt and the restaurant is well maintained.
