Taqueria Don Felipes — Restaurant in Texas

After a long day at the beach we wanted some tacos. Since the place we originally wanted to eat at was closed, the place next door was opened. We thought y not.. first, after receiving our order the waitress turned & walked away as my friend asked for limes. So my friend got up to ask for limes & another waitress said ok & walked in the kitchen but never came out. So my friend once again got up after about 10 minutes of waiting & asked another waitress for limes & finally that one brought her some limes. So my friend sat down to eat & after the first taco a roach flew on her hand. Well since we were on the patio we thought nothing of it & kept eating. When I was on my last taco I took one bite and there was a long hair in my taco. So we called for the manager & instead of leading with customer service rule #1 when it comes to service she sat there and gave us 101 reasons to try & justify y her waitresses had the right to act like they did & fail on their customer service skills. We pointed out the hair in the taco & she emidiately grabbed the plate & said she would adjust our ticket & walked away. No apology.. nothing. Smh... I would absolutely not recommend this place. Let's start with , it is very hot in south Texas in July . The restaurant is a quaint little taqueria , with indoor and outdoor seating . We opted for the indoor so we could stay cooler . Well , it was a ' little better ' . The place was busy for lunch , there are about 15 tables of 4 inside and all but 3 were occupied . Nobody outside . So we placed our order and received our drinks and sat and chit-chated . We noticed the crowd thinning until it was just us . At the 45 minute mark of waiting for tacos , we got up and asked for our bill and told them to forget the food . They were extremely apologetic and said the food was ready and it actually was . A mistake not to inform us of a delay . Anyway , we got our food and disappointingly began to eat , everyone was quiet until we looked up at each other . We were all nodding in approval . The food was delicious , and the server checked on us frequently . Even brought us a signature GIANT stuffed baked potato , " on the house " . Went to eat there for my wifes bday since she was craving tacos. We ordered 3 orders of tacos and 1 cheeseburger with bacon. tacos came out and they were good just the mollejas were too greasy. The problem arose when they took 30 minutes for my sons burger. Waitress was standing in a corner eating chip the whole time. She finally came over and assured us the burger was coming right up. Another 15 minutes went by and she finally brought it out. She assured us that it took so long cause it they wanted to make it right. Checked it and it was missing cheese and the bacon. I didnt want to argue with her so i just asked for the tab. I notified her that it was wrong and assured me that she wouldnt charge the extras. She still charged it.
