My husband and I have been here 3 times now (weeknight and weekend). No matter when we go service is always extremely slow. The wait staff is very nice, but they are either short staffed or not very efficient. And from the chatter back and forth there seems to be some communication issues between cooking and serving staff, as each time we've been the waitress has had to ask for corrections before the food even reached our table. The food is good, and I really like the burger patties which is why we kept going back. But today was the last time we'll be dining here. I ordered a burger in a bowl with 2 burger patties, my husband got the chili cheese burger with cajun fries. My husband got his meal and was almost done by the time my burger in a bowl arrived. I waited for 30 minutes for a basic house salad with 2 plain burger patties on it. For $10 the amount of lettuce in the bowl was underwhelming, the bowl was too small for me to cut my burger patties and mix my salad, and oh.....I waited 30 minutes for a freaking salad. So after being there for almost an hour, waiting for that long for a salad, and my husband basically being done with his food I was too irritated to even eat. It's not worth a return...
Read moreI expected this place to be a dive because it's literally part of the gas station convenience store, but it's a separate restaurant. We've been trying to get there when it's open for months now, but we work and they're only open until 2pm for now I guess. The food was so good that they're literally out of items like the chicken and the shrimp by noon. The price is quite reasonable and two of us had a big Texas-Sized lunch for like $20. My wife had the BLT on Texas Toast special. Lots of bacon. Super tasty. I had the lucy-goosey or whatever, two beef patties with cheese smashed between. Brioche bun and these unique twisty steak fries. I'd never seen them before, and they were good. I had to open ketchup packets, which I don't like to do, but it was worth it for those fries, that's for sure. The manager lady was very nice and provided a Texas welcoming atmosphere. Event the chef, Alberto was his name, came out to thank us for coming in for lunch. What a nice guy! I sincerely hope this place thrives. It seems the locals all know the secret, but to stay in business, I hope they don't keep this secret to themselves. ...
Read moreOrdered from here on Doordash. We odered the chicken fried steak, The Chicken Avocado Bacon Club with garlic fries and a Dr Pepper and an order of Mozzarella Stix.
Everything was correct with the chicken fried steak meal. After that everything went downhill.
Instead of the nice grilled chicken with bacon and avocado on a brioche bun that we ordered, a fried chicken sandwich on soggy toast with cheese all over it and no avocado is what showed up. Instead of the garlic fries, regular, unseasoned fries showed up. Instead of Dr. Pepper, a 12oz can of CocaCola I could've grabbed out of the fridge.
Last but not least... Our appetizer of fried mozzarella sticks was nowhere to be found. Instead, they sent stale tortilla chips tossed in a styrofoam to go box with a cup of something resembling queso.
It's like the person who packed out order simply didn't care. Doordash did absolutely nothing about it and let this place keep our money because "at least they delivered something".
I wouldn't recommend this place. We tried giving them another chance while later, hoping it was a fluke and they forgot...
