Tortas La Movida — Restaurant in Texas

Good food for the price and nice atmosphere. My husband loves, loves, LOVES their Al la Diablo plate. He loves hot & spicy food and it's the first hottest dish he's had that actually made him sweat. Their shrimp soup and shrimp cocktail are the best I've had. Only one thing I can complain about and that is their chalupas/tostadas - they use the processed cheese kind instead of real shredded cheese. That alone would make them outstanding. Price is a little expensive but worth it and justified considering the good tastes & quality of their menu. Make sure you know your Spanish though, most of the time staff know limited English. Our appreciation especially goes out to the owner, who always makes us feel welcome when he is there and is very cordial to us. We don't speak enough Spanish, but the waitresses & staff have always been nice & given us great service. We always take our food to go but we enjoy going over there to have a Corona out on the patio while we wait...

If I could give it 0 stars I would. first time going to this place and it was a mistake.. save yourself the money people this place is nasty. The caldo had no flavor whatsoever, the fish and shrimp were frozen, they were not fresh & even then when it was brought to our table all the food was super cold. Horrible customer service, the waitress was on her phone the entire time and didn’t even come to check up on us and took forever to even take down our order. The food was disgusting & cold, it was expensive for not even fresh food or good quality, the customer service...

I always go to Tortas La Movida, it is the best place that has nice quality food. I always feel welcomed when I enter. They treat me just like family. The prices are fair, and they always welcome anyone with a smile. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for quality food, at a quality price!! Love...
