I walked in and it appeared the lady from the donut shop next door was running the show. I asked for a loaded baked potato and a brisket sandwich. It took about 5 minutes to explain what a loaded baked potato was as I showed her where it was on the menu. She put on some gloves and pulled the brisket out of the warmer and began to chop not on a cutting board. She then grabs some butter out of the fridge and cuts the butter with the same knife that she cut the brisket with. She grabs a bag of great value cheese out of the cooler and grabs a large handful of cheese with gloves covered in brisket fat. I saw so much cross contamination it was not even funny. She then tried to put the meat on the potato and the butter on top of the meat. I proceeded to help her build this disgusting potato and asked for pickles. She informs me that they are out of pickles. At this point I'm about to walk out the door but I had already payed and was starving. I go to leave and the "pit master" I use that term very loosely walks in. I ask him why they don't have pickles and he says sorry we ran out waiting on an order. I then show him what I was served and he seems to think it's the standard. I voice my frustration with my whole experience and he tells me he knows how to cook bbq. Then says “leave and never come back.” I explain the situation to my very hungry girlfriend and tell her to proceed with caution. Because we were both so hungry she ate a few bites of this potato and I did the same with the brisket sandwich. The brisket had a dry bitter taste and we were both left feeling nauseous for the rest of the day. Below is what I was served for 32 dollars. I would not eat here again if you payed me.

After getting good feedback from friends, I popped into Bubbas for some BBQ. I ordered the Brisket and Sausage plate with potato salad and beans (although mac n cheese is in the picture) Overall for me the experience was average, but not great. I didnt understand why they asked you to be seated to order instead of ordering at the counter since its such a small place. This made me feel like it was just a ploy to illicit tips for the staff. Food: (The sides) The potato salad and beans lacked character. You know that special ingredient that only Uncle Bubba does to make them stand out. They really tasted like undoctored, premade sides from a restaurant supply store. (The mains) Starting with the sausage, it had a pretty good smoke flavor but the texture of the sausage made it appear cheap. You know when you buy the super cheap sausages and its filled with meat paste? Kind of like that. I would suggest going with a course ground sausage to give more bite to the sausage. Just my two cents. The brisket confused the hell out of me. Some bites tasted smokey, while others didnt and I wasnt sure what dark magic they were using to cook smoked brisket without a smoke ring?! This made me feel like the smoke taste was artifactual through injection or marinade. As you can see from my cuts, they gave me slices from that point where the two muscles converge on the brisket which mean some bites were juicy while the other was dry. I would really suggest working with staff to make sure they know how to properly slice brisket. I would also add that asking customers if they want lean or moist may increase customer satisfaction.

So my wife and I had returned from a day in Galveston and were looking for some BBQ, searched for BBQ in Google and this place was the closest to us, so off we went. We arrived at a shopping center and right in the corner was the restaurant, felt different seeing a BBQ joint in a shopping center, but in we went. When we opened the door, we knew we were at a real BBQ, that pleasing smoky wood smell brought back memories of family events. We were greeted by young workers, they explained what was available, as we had gone very late in the day. Our food was brought to our table and then that’s when tasted magic. Very cut was deliciously tender, smoked and seasoned. As we were finishing our plates, Uncle Bubba introduced himself to us and explained to us how his business came about. But that wasn’t all, he showed us how all the delicious meats come together to create a delicious culinary experience. Uncle Bubbas Brisket and BBQ is a mom and pop restaurant worthy of visiting and of praise as a family owned and run business. We highly recommend.

So,I went with a friend to get peach cobbler and upon arrival she was speaking with the owner about previous service. One of the complaints was them never answering the phone and always stating they are busy. Granted at times they are but the last 2 visits (which were back to back) they were not. We know this because we sat outside the business calling while there were no customers inside. So to make this long story short she complained to the owner and he’s response was and I quote “I’m the owner and this is my business and if I choose not to answer the phone I don’t have too “ I thought was very rude of him and needless to say because of that inconsiderate comment he will never get my business again!

P.S.;I couldn’t figure out how to respond to your negative response. I’m all for my black people but your ignorance I’m not. First off I’ve never smoked or did any drugs a day in my life so this is your second lie tonight. And little did you know I encouraged my friend to let it go and just purchase the cobbler being that is a about the only thing of value because you as an owner is definitely a low grade just based on how you are responding to all criticism to your business. Word to wise this is not how you run a business. You accept the criticism good or bad and learn to do better instead of coming back with a tantrum like a 5 yr old. You’ve just proved how rude your are! You’re tearing your own business down Mr. Bubba. I’m for all business no matter the color sir. You just happen to be an ignorant person of color. Now go smoke that on your pit sir.

PSS.: Again you’re very ignorant as shows. I’ve been to your business several time before for more than just peach cobbler. The issue is your workers always say y’all are busy and not answering the phone and the theory was tested once. The calls is because every time we came you all were out of items we wanted so as a paying customer we wanted to make sure you had what we wanted before coming. I have all day to go back and forth with you and I have a well paying job not in the hood (I made it outside the hood🤣) but what you should be doing is working on your customer service skills and being able to order necessary supplies so you aren’t out. Again drugs is not what I do but by the way your teeth look and they way you act you clearly do Mr. Bubba. Stay off the reviews, learn to accept criticism and go smoke some meat or weed since you like to project that on...
