The food is just ok, not bad but far from great. It didn't really taste restaurant quality, more like home cooking that's just ok. It's counter service and the chips, salsa, and bean dip are self serve. The salsa is very thin and watery as others have noted (albeit good flavor). Chips and bean dip are good. I got the fajita enchiladas and was fairly disappointed. The tortilla soup was pretty good and worth getting again. The prices are very cheap which I think draws most people. If you need a decent, inexpensive meal then it may be to your liking.

Food was great! Hot and delicious. First time eating there. Had to learn as we went. But you walk in, order your meal, sit where you desire. And self serve your own chips and salsa at the bar. Which the chips are kept warm in a hot box. They have refried beans to dip you chips and red and green salsas. Drinks are self serve. Great food great prices!

Excellent food, polite services, and food is served quickly. We've been going for years, ever since our kids have been babies. Self serve chips, bean dip, and drinks. Their queso is delicious as well. Pictures provided are leftovers: cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, crispy tacos, and chicken fajitas taco. They have daily specials as well.

The restaurant has changed ownership. The food quality shouldn't be affected as the staff purchased the business. The food is always good and the service is always right on. The tamales melt in your mouth. The nachos need more ingredients is my only problem. My boyfriend loves their chicken tortillas soup. Big bowl lots of chicken and the taco salad is good also. They have a Mexican chocolate cake that's awesome. I hope they keep it on the menu. Most people seem to know each other and there is music playing. They have a big room that they can use for parties. It's a young couple that owns it now and they are extremely hard working. I personally will miss the last owner Susan. She is a sweetheart. Good people working hard.. if they had a beer license it might be nice. Lots of local workers at lunch it's very busy then. Also during football season. You have to look for this place as it's in a neighborhood but it's worth the drive. Turn left at the Van Vleck school's football...

No frill Tex Mex food. Had the Wednesday special...Epolito (3 varieties of tostadas and crispy taco). Taco meat well seasoned. Added a beef fajita taco. Fajitas meat was diced and juicy with just the right amount of grilled onions. Fountain drinks are self serve along with sweet or u sweet tea. Chips and salsa are self serve which is a plus. They also have refried beans in addition to the salsa. Honestly, this place is better than most Mexican restaurants in home town of Corpus Christi. Will definitely swing by if I am ever traveling...
