Listen this is one of the best places that I have found by accident. Let’s start on food I had the Roasted potatoes with Gravy and scrambled eggs you can’t forget the Cholula hit sauce on it gives it an extra kick. Then comes the Wings YALL the wings are smoked they are so tender and flavorful and yummy. I think they lasted a whole 5 minutes before they where gone oh the fries are season fries that you can’t start eating add some secret sauce or ranch OMG. Then the Final plate now this one is my favorite plate of all time. The chicken and Waffle now the chicken is so nicely breaded and cooked to perfection. The waffle was thick and crispy and that is hard to do but it was done here. The butter just melted so perfectly throw the syrup on top and man let me tell you I almost asked for another one to go it was that good. Everything that I have had here is amazing worth the drive and definitely worth every penny.
Now on to service from day one that we found this place they have treated us like family. Now the waiters and staff know us and are happy when we come. I have two kids a girl and boy and all the waiters love them. This is definitely one of our favorite places to go eat breakfast or lunch. I did mention they should do mimosas on Sundays they would make a killing.
If you haven’t been to this location please take time out our day and go it’s a great place to eat and watch the planes come and go. All the pilots we have meet have been so nice and cool they even offered to take us for a ride but I’m To scared to get on small planes if not I would go. If you do go please be patient and tips the waiters good they do an amazing job.
The cooks and management Obviously the management is a good guy he’s out there hustling and bringing out orders as well. The cooks in the back out in there busting out that food as fast as possible they are great at it. The food has great flavor no need to add extra anything like...
Read moreThis was a great atmosphere, but unfortunately we didn’t have a good experience. I came with my daughter, grandsons, and my son. We had a 1, 3, and 6 year old boys. Our waitress took our drink order 15 minutes after arriving & took another 15 minutes to get our drinks. We asked for no ice lemonade because grandson has stitches on his mouth…can’t use straw or have ice. She brought him lemonade with ice. We asked for no ice again and she took it back. Still no drink 15 minutes later. I went inside and got someone else to get us a lemonade with no ice. It took our waitress 30 minutes from our arrival for the waitress to take our food order. We sat another 30 minutes and still nothing. People who came in after us had their drinks before us and made their food order before us…they had a different waitress. The boys were hungry, cranky, and beyond restless at this point. It was time to leave. I went inside…the waitress never came to us or checked in on us. I told another waitress we wanted to pay for our drinks and go. She explained that they had a large unexpected party come in that caused a huge back up. We had no explanation previously. She said our 2 adult sodas and 2 kids lemonade was $14. That’s ridiculous, but I didn’t care at this point. A manager or the owner stepped over and apologized and said no charge for the drinks. This man and the other waitress were very polite which is why I’m giving 3 stars. Our experience would’ve been a lot better had we known the situation. Before the explanation it felt like we were ignored and forgotten. Also, if the situation was explained early on we could’ve had the choice not not sit there for over an hour with...
Read moreOur first visit back to this funky little diner since it changed owners and came back in business as Wing It. The breakfast menu is smaller but still offers a nice selection of a couple omelette options, breakfast tacos (that we had) and eggs made to order. Our host seated us inside promptly when we arrived and our server came over to get our drink orders right away. For breakfast we each had the huge and tasty breakfast tacos with bacon. Sides were the breakfast potatoes, and I was told that the potatoes were sweetened before cooking... possibly soaked in a sugar water brine. I cannot confirm whether or not the potatoes were brined, but those with low sugar diet requirements may inquire about this before hitting the spuds. The bacon and scrambled eggs in the two massive tacos were hot and very tasty, so I'd recommend them. I also have it on good authority that Wing It makes a great burger, so I'll post a follow-up to this review soon and let y'all know. Check them out and enjoy a runway view of Hicks Field if you are an aviation buff...Please obey all traffic and airport warning signs, and yield to any aircraft when entering the property to dine here...This is an active airfield so be safe and enjoy a unique breakfast or...
