Sunny’s Scoops — Restaurant in Thomaston

We visited this nice little ice cream shop several times during our stay in Maine. No regrets.

The good: They serve Gifford's ice cream. The portions are generous. The prices are very fair. Great variety. I recommend the 4 scoop sampler. Friendly staff. Plenty of outdoor seating. Also, it's on a farm and the market sells some fresh fruits and veggies and eggs. They also have some donkeys and alpacas, but far enough removed not to affect your enjoyment of the ice cream.

The less than great: the parking lot makes the place a little dusty on a windy day. A little outdoor decor would add a nice touch.

Great ice cream, tons of flavors and big menu for about anything you would want for ice cream! Very fair prices and great portions too. We enjoyed their outside seating also. Then my Daughter, Granddaughter and myself watched the Alpacas for quite a while, they was just wonderful to watch! I highly recommend Sunny's Scoops especially if you like Gifford's ice cr....
