Everyone should boycott Duffers as they are not sensitive to CANCER SURVIVORS! So apparently you're allowed to wear any type of baseball cap and any type of ski cap. But you can't wear a little thin piece of plain black material on your head that ties in the back (do-rag). My boyfriend wears this to cover his head because he had brain surgery 10 years ago !!!!! He was dressed in an Eagles shirt, plain grey zip up hoodie and blue jeans. He went up to the bar to order me a drink (he does not drink alcohol) and was asked to take his head covering off or leave the bar. He explained to the bartender his situation and he said "these aren't my rules they are the owners." He left the bar quietly but I got upset so I asked the bartender if I could talk to the owner and he informed me that he was not there and didn't see to really care. So I asked again "you are telling me that it is ok to wear any type of baseball cap or ski hat which most people had on but a plain do-rag is not acceptable." This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Please spread the word that DUFFERS PUB WILL NOT MAKE EXCEPTIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS.
Addendum: I did explain to the bartender CLEARLY that this is to cover up scars from his surgery and yes I was clearly upset by the lack of consideration. My boyfriend also told me that he also explained his situation to the bartender (however I could not overhear the conversation myself). Mr. Michael Slachta -- you were not there to witness and frankly I am surprised by your lack of empathy and reaction to this...

We recently celebrated a milestone 60th birthday at Duffer's Tavern and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. The owner (Mike) greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm, setting the tone for the day. The staff, attentive and personable, ensured every need was met, making us feel truly at home. We had 75ppl and our full band.
The food was exceptional. Each dish was a testament to the chef's skill and passion. The flavors were rich and satisfying, with something to delight every palate at our party. It's clear that only the finest ingredients were used.
The ambiance was perfect, we had our party outside under the tent that they provide with picnic tables and buffet tables, plus some hightops. We were allowed to decorate how ever we wanted and upon request the owner quickly added side walls where we asked them to be added.
In every aspect—service, cuisine, and atmosphere—Duffers, the staff and the owner exceeded our expectations. It was more than just a meal; it was a celebration of life, love, and friendships. We left with full hearts and bellies, already looking forward to our next visit.
If you're seeking a place where you feel like part of the family, with outstanding food and service to match, look no further than Duffer's Tavern Highly recommended for any...
Read moreWent to have appetizers with a friend and sat at the bar which we usually do. The bartender was ok but didn’t seem to want to be bothered with people who aren’t regulars..had her before and got the same exact vibe. I recently quit drinking 12 weeks ago and requested a mojito without the liquor. Immediately she states “no not for a virgin. I am not going outside to get mint for a virgin drink and this is the time we are getting busy”. My friend and I were taken aback and thought she was possibly kidding….yet Instead of offering another option she seemed rather annoyed I was there at her bar at all and made it rather clear that us non regular people were in her space and not worth her time. Not once were we asked how we were doing or if we liked the food. She was very passive aggressive and only bothered with us as she felt necessary. The food is always good and on point. As much as I was disappointed, i work in the healthcare field and know times are tough and maybe she was having a bad day….I still tipped. Many I know wouldn't have even given 5 percent. I cant turn a patient away of care no matter if its busy or the end of my shift and i didnt feel like going above and beyond….That is just apart of my career. I feel it was very unprofessional the way she spoke to us and service was sub par. Most likely wont be visiting again for...
