Taco Maya Mexican Grill West Chester — Restaurant in Thornbury Township

I wanted to love this location as much as we love their first location, but we had a disappointing experience here. Came on a Saturday night. No line and fast prep which was nice. The decor is also great. However, the soda machine was flat, which we luckily realized since we were eating in. I told an employee who was mopping nearby about the lack of carbonation. She just said ok and continued mopping. I dumped our flat sodas and got tea instead. A few minutes later we realized why she was mopping when water from the overhead vents dripped several times onto our heads and food. Yuck. The food was good overall, but the chips were stale. After much fanfare and hoopla, I decided to give this Mexican joint a visit. I ordered the chorizo tacos and they were delish except for the price tag of $14 for three tacos. The food was fresh and the layout did remind me of a Chipotle restaurant. One of the employees served me green salsa in lieu of the habernero salsa and I was upset that the employee didn't know the difference. I come here all of the time during lunch for myself and my coworkers. As much as I love the food and how it tastes, the pricing is always inconsistent which can be a bit frustrating. Ordered a bowl again the other day and got charged for queso and guac but the bowl comes with guac so why did I get charged? Had another situation where I bought food and didn’t realize I was charged for two drinks I didn’t order and I went back and got a refund for the drinks that were not mine. I now always ask for an itemized receipt just in case, I hope they figure it out because I do love coming here...
