La Isla Bonita — Restaurant in Thornton Township

A cool place with a nice vibe. It' was unfortunate that this establishment didn't have proper ventilation; I left smelling like fried food ( the smell was In my jacket for days )! Also, they're not serving premium liquor. The bottle says that it's premium but the taste says something else! I ordered, Casamigos neat with lime on the side. It was terrible on my pallet. This is my normal drink of 10 years and I could drink it at a blind tasting and know what it is! After the first sipi knew it wasn't right. I left it on the table (what a waste of money)! I've experienced this at other bars and it's disappointing and frustrating; connecting once they've sold 4 drinks they can buy another bottle! These club owners need to do better! OAN: The DJ's were off the chain. They played great house music on that Thursday night! Outside seating would be preferable for me! Hope...

Spot is nice . Owner rude . Depends on what day it is they charging for parking & they refill their top shelf liquor bottles with cheaper brand liquor. When I told the owner I believe my drink wasn’t what I ordered he told me “ You must be from the city we don’t do that out here “ no sir I’m actually a suburban gal but that doesn’t have anything to do with the fact this isn’t what I paid for .

I asked him could I just order a brand new bottle because I knew for a fact this was a switch up move . He told me that don’t sell bottles . I asked can they open a new bottles in front of me he said hell nah and walked away .

That was a last year August. So when google asked me to rate this place I was like ok sure . Let me warn some folks about the liquor switch . It’s a tale as old as time . I’m no spring chicken so I don’t put nothing...

First time at this venue for a private event (wedding shower) this last weekend. The food was catered from another vendor, so I can't really give a rating on the food this place offers. It seems like an okay spot. The views off of the small harbor are nice. There was plenty of room to sit inside and outside. The service from the bartenders and I guess the guys running the outside "security" could have been better and more welcoming or friendly. Also, at 10$ a pop for self-parking and a cash bar (15$ for a "margarita" that wasn’t blended or even mixed well), you would think they would have a paved parking lot. It's not that bad of a spot, but that gravel parking lot should be fixed if you're going to be charging...
