I'm not from this area. I stopped in this little complex to use the restroom at the 99cent store. Walking to my car a man started following me... I quickly darted over to this restaurant where I sat outside.
When I first sat down I was greeted asking if I was waiting for someone and I told him of the man following me. They said if I needed anything to come inside and they would help me.
40 Mins goes by and the guy still was by my car so I go in this restaurant. I asked if I can use the restroom and they told me no, the restrooms were closed. So I asked if one of them could walk me to my car.. you can see it from the restaurant, not only that.. there was nooooo onnneeee there at the restaurant besides the workers! They told me no, said the police are 2mins up the street and to call them while laughing at me.
Obviously they didn't really care about my safety. It would take not even two mins out of their time to walk me to my car...
Needless to say I still walked to my car, scared, while the guy was still standing by my car cat calling me.
What gentlemen...
Read moreMet with a friend for lunch today, and we tried Cajun Crab Shack in Thousand Oaks off of E Avenida De Los Arboles. I have a fondness for Cajun food, particularly for the style I call "Cajun boil" where all of your food is cooked at the same time so everything takes on a really rich depth of flavor. The best part, is it's generally eaten by hand, without utensils. Cajun Crab Shack delivered with delicious, flavorful seafood that was well cooked, seasoned, and reasonably priced. It's location in Thousand Oaks makes it an ideal spot for families looking for a new kind of place for a dinner out, and business types looking for a lunch spot that's a bit of a break from the local sandwich, burger, or salad spot. Though I do recommend you avoid it if you've got important face-to-face meetings immediately after ;). It gets messy, but that's part of the fun. In the end it is tasty, well prepared seafood, at a good price, with friendly service. I highly recommend trying it, and if you like it, recommend it to...
Read moreWhen this place opened up, it was pretty decent considering it's location. But after today, I ordered a dozen oysters, 2 cheese quesadillas, 1 each for my kids and battered fish tacos.
While the tacos were fine, the quesadillas came out cold and my kids wernt interested in them. The oysters tasted old and had some phlegm taste ( I eat fresh chucked oysters frequently so I know what's good and what's not). I ordered lemon slices with my oysters for flavor and he insisted I bring out limes after I told him no several times, which he brought out limes anyways. Not to mention, every employee seemed high and/or drunk. Like, glazed eye/ stuttering their words, even in Spanish.
I don't want to be the guy to do this to this company as I enjoyed them in the past but earlier tonight was just a straight up carnival of jokes and none of them were funny.
The only reason I gave a $10 tip of my $70 bill was for the oysters chucker - I know how annoying it can be.
Please be better...
