This place is such a fun stop if you’re driving through the Oregon coast. It’s definitely popular and a little touristy, but honestly, it’s done really well. You can walk through and see the whole cheese-making process from big viewing windows — it’s actually cool to watch the blocks of cheese being formed, cut, and packed. There are signs and videos explaining what’s going on, and it’s easy to follow even if you’re not a “cheese person.” It’s also kid-friendly without being chaotic.
The food is what you’d expect from a place that makes cheese for a living — super satisfying. We tried the cheese pizza, which was basic in the best way. It’s all about the cheese — gooey, flavorful, and clearly the star of the show. We also had a soup (the tomato one), and it was surprisingly great. Rich, slightly tangy, and perfect with a grilled cheese if you’re into that kind of comfort food.
But the real winner? The ice cream flights. You get to pick a few flavors and sample them all in one go — it’s genius. The Marionberry Pie was hands-down our favorite, but honestly, every flavor we tried was creamy and delicious. It’s also nice to be able to taste around without committing to a giant scoop of just one.
There’s a big shop inside where you can buy cheese (obviously), snacks, and Tillamook merch. It’s one of those places that could’ve just been a tourist trap, but it’s actually thoughtful, well-run, and fun to visit.
Would totally recommend stopping by — even if it’s just for...
Read moreDo yourself a favor and skip on the food court. The food is almost always a let down. We've visited the food court on multiple different occasions wanting to try the different options. The chicken sandwich is decent, but everything else falls short unfortunately.
On each and every visit, we've noticed the tables are never cleaned, nor does any of the employees care to clean them. On our last visit, I asked to get a table cleaned, and was meet with attitude, then when receiving our mac&cheese, it came to us cold with the cheese not even melted. When I brought it up to the register to ask if it could be remade, the clerk went to the " Chef" if you could call him that, and told him about our food, in which he decided to start shaking his head, and verbally complaining about having to remake this meal. Once seeing this, I just asked for a refund due to losing my appetite due to the such poor attitude. Seeing how it was poorly made and thrown together the first time didn't help either.
The ice cream is always a nice treat though, just wouldn't waste time nor money...
Read moreThe food court was great when they first re-opened after the remodel but since it's obvious they expect visitors to pay a premium for sub par food and even worse service. Our last visit confirmed why we stick with ice cream in the food court and even that is questionable. We walked up to the ice cream counter and the teenage workers behind the counter at first could not be bothered to acknowledge us amidst their goofing around. Then one of them gave me attitude when I had to repeat my order of kids cups for both my son and myself. We would skip ice cream entirely but it's a bit of a tradition when we go to the creamery and if it wasn't for the fact that at least that hasn't changed I would take them down the street to Fred Meyer and buy a container of Tillamook ice cream there for a fraction of the cost. Overall I hope they make changes to the food court as it puts a big negative mark on the...
