Tohickon Restaurant & Tavern — Restaurant in Tinicum Township

The food was good. We took a chance while traveling from Hellertown. Everyone enjoyed their food- French onion soup, Sriracha chicken sandwich, chicken Parmesan sandwich with fries. The service was ok. The bartender was busy with the regulars and never asked if we needed a refill for our drinks. She was very friendly though not too attentive. The reason for two stars is because I find it outrageous that we ordered three sodas and were charged $5 a piece. $5 for a cup of soda? $15 for sodas with no alcohol? The entire bill was over $70 for three people before tip and before thei credit card surcharge. Two soups, three entrees. The price of the food was fine but I felt taken advantage of with the sodas. The price of the sodas aren’t listed anywhere on the menu. That made me question if we were given a sucker price because we were obviously just passing through. I left with a bad feeling...

I went back with the same friends after 2 years and COVID is behind us I hope. The bartender was so friendly, he was actually our waiter too. We had burgers and wings. As usual, the food was very good. Service too. We will be coming back more now and happy that this wonderful restaurant is still open and providing great food. Ps I always forget they sell beer to go so now I don't have to go up 611 more to Harrow 👍

My first visit. Longtime Friends always go and invited me. I've driven by many times and so glad they did. Friendly from the moment I walked in. Small but diverse menu. I had a draft (love draft) beer, a THICK burger with chips, pickles etc. The well done burger was perfect. We were asked many times if we needed anything etc.. and it was busy. A local crowd, and motorcyclists stop too. I felt like I was at friends.. comfy,...

So the food here was actually very good, but it took us forever to get our order, even our appetizer, which is why I won’t go back. We were super hungry and it took way too long. Then when we actually got our orders, several of them were done incorrectly. The waitress took a percentage off our bill to make up for it, but there was no reason it should have taken that long for basic types of food. And my sister has a dairy allergy, so when they brought out her food with cheese on it when she had asked for no cheese, they had to re-do her entire order and she had to wait longer when she was super hungry. Just not worth it. I liked the atmosphere though. Still...
