So when you pull up you’re greeted by the water, you can dine in or out. We went approx 7p-730p on a Saturday. Wasn’t too busy, weather was perfect to sit outside. We started with the crab cake appy, which was served on a bed of mixed greens. They were nice. Crispy outside, warm inside w/ crab not that filler stuff. lol. For drinks we had some virgin blood orange like spritzer which was refreshing. Our entrees were the lobster chow mein and Lobster roll (with butter) and fries. Both Delish. So.. the chow mein noodles are fried and topped with the lobster and gravy w/ onions and celery. It is a huge portion the only negative is that if your a texture person it doesn’t do well on the reheat. So if you’re not someone to eat the whole portion in one setting I would recommend splitting it. Would’ve loved a little more lobstahhh. Now for the roll, divine. The roll was buttered and toasted. The lobster was tender and warm, not chewy. Fries were freshly fried and crispy. I’d definitely return for the roll and the crabcake, the chow mein, since a bit went to waste, I’d split or omit from my next order, it was still a little something different that I’m glad I tried.

What a jewel in the crown of Tiverton. The server was Jill, whose timing and guest interaction was absolutely perfect. I had a fresh brewed iced tea that was replaced as it was getting low ($2.49 per cup). A good amount of ice making the drink chilled. For apps, My party had 1/2 dozen of the clam cakes, 2 crab cakes in a house made cream horseradish sauce, and onion rings. The onion rings were "golden" brown and you could taste the sweetness of the onion and bitterness of the beer in the batter (A plus). The crab cakes were alright...a little too crisp for my liking (solid B). The meat was not flavorful and the sauce seem to overpower the delicate crab meat. HOWEVER, The clam cakes were absolutely amazing. They were light and airy but chock-full of clams. Really a highlight. Next came the entree of clam roll with hand cut fries. The roll was grilled and overflowing with sweet tender clam strips. Served with tartar sauce that wasn't overly sweet but had a nice creamy tang. My friends had a fish sandwich. The whole meal came to 77.19. It was so reasonable and so delicious.

Decided to stop by while I was in the area, it is a very unassuming place off the side of the road. I passed it on the way in and wanted to find out more. The staff is very friendly and the Drive-In has plenty of outdoor seating. There is a covered patio out back, indoor seating, and an outside area by the water where you can eat too. I had ordered three items when I went, a hot dog, lobster roll, and a lemonade. The hot dog was just about what you would expect, it was a nice touch that they toasted the bun and put the ketchup on the underside of the hot dog. The lobster roll was alright, it was a little "dry" as far as lobster meat is concerned. It had an alright taste but it didn't fully sit well. I also didn't get the lemonade. I think it is still worth the visit all things considered. They have a good variety of sea food and other offerings that make it a good choice for a warm day!

I had waited to whole summer to come here and was finally able to last night and am beyond disappointed. We didn’t even get to try the food because the service was so bad. I understand it’s the end of the season and at this point the workers are over it, but that is no reason to have such poor service. We arrived right before 7 and sat in the back row of the tent. It took about 15 minutes for our waitress to come over. My husband was ready to leave after 10, but insisted we stayed because he knew how much I wanted to try the food. I have been a caregiver to my father, work full time and have a mother in the hospital in Boston for the last 4 months and needed this to put a smile on my face. The funny thing was our waitress had the table right in front of us and came to their table 3 times to check on things and ask about dessert. She came back and brought them a check and then returned again to pick up the signed check and say goodnight to them. At no point did she even acknowledge us. Eventually she came over, took our order, stopped at another table that just walked in, greeted them took their drink order and then put our drinks and their drinks in at the same time . The other table waited 2 minutes for service. When our drinks arrived after the other table for theirs the waitress casually mentioned to me they didn’t have the clam strips. She stated that they were so busy she forgot to tell us after we placed our order. This was the only thing on the menu my husband ordered. He asked for a menu and she said no problem. She never came back with a menu. I watched her walk in and walk right past the menus. She then had a conversation with another server, she took a food order to a table inside and checked on another table. I got up and went inside to get a menu. When I asked for it she said “ oh yeah , we are slammed” I’m not sure what she considers slammed, but if 2 tables insides and maybe 10 outside is slammed, I’d hate to see how the services is when it’s the middle of the summer and a beautiful day. I personally ordered whole belly clams, chowder and a lobster roll for myself. My husband was going to settle on the burger , but I was so upset with the lack of service and care. It definitely felt as though my husband and I were not welcome or wanted. I decided to just pay for our drinks and leave. The waitress didn’t even seem to care we were leaving and said, “sorry it’s the end of the season”. We didn’t leave because you didn’t have food, we left because the server was terrible and definitely let us know that we were not welcome. This will not be added to the list of places black people should spend their money in...

Within the last month I've been here twice. The first time I was alone and sat under the tent because it was a little too chilly out. There were some hearty souls dining outside and there is a inside dining area as well all with full service. They also have a takeout window with six or eight picnic tables in a row on the waters edge to use when getting takeout. They are covered by a wellbuilt wooden carport type structure which provides great protection from the sun and rain. On to the food. The first time I had the chowder (New England style) and some clam cakes. They were both very good. The chowder was flavorful with the correct ratio of broth to solids. The clam cakes were a little bigger than golf balls with the little nubs and such that I associate with a true clam cake. Inside the clam cake were chunks of clams which is what I like to see. As I was enjoying this meal a waitstaff member walked by with this incredible looking chowmein sandwich. It was such a huge looking portion with a rich gravy cascading down the sides that I immediately felt buyers remorse. On the second time I had my dog with me so I ordered at the takeout window and asked if my dog was ok to be with me at the picnic tables. They said no problem and asked what kind of pup I had and told me to grab a dog bone out of the jar for her. That sold her on the place. So anyways, I digress. I ordered the chowmein sandwich, surprise surprise. This had been floating around in my mind since I'd seen it. Now which one to get. They have plain with no meat or you can add on chicken or beef. I asked the server which one was the most popular and they took a couple of seconds to answer which means they really thought about it before answering with chicken. Impressive waitstaff at a clam shack or anyplace these days. So when you get it to go it comes in two separate containers. One is a foot long or so by like a half a foot filled with the dry noodles and a fresh bun. The other container is close to a quart in size containing the chicken and vegetable gravy. This is a two person meal. I bought half home with me. It tasted great. The chicken add-on is around six dollars and worth it. They grill a chicken breast to order and chop it up into your chowmein. The waitstaff had told me the gravy is made from scratch each morning. I know what everyone is thinking, no way I'll get chowmein at a clam...

I've been coming here for over 20 years and own a vacation rental and advertise this business. I hate to leave a bad review on a small business, but something this year with the service really rubbed me the wrong way. When they opened this May, I was ordering about twice a week clam cakes just before the tourist season picks up. The first and second visit I sat at the ordering window for about 20 minutes, I coughed it up to the sign of looking for kitchen employees and pick-up orders, while sitting for 20 minutes the phones were being answered for new orders to be placed at the window I was standing at, the second visit a man showed up behind me and within seconds my order was taken, i found it odd. The third visit I called in my order, which I only do in peak tourist season, but with the last two times i figured it be best, so third time I called in my order and my intuition told me to say my name was Ashlee (middle name), order was placed for clam cakes and was told i didn't need to pay for clam cakes over phone (which was always the case the past 6 years I remember), I show up window opens and the girl thought I was in the "wrong line", told her I was Ashlee picking up order. My fourth visit called in order, but this time I gave my first name (Tymika), something in my stomach said I messed up. The woman asked me to pay for my order, I said, can I pay at window (I was driving) she sounded annoyed and said okay. I show up, window opens and I say pick-up for Tymika, she yells to the cooks "the phone order who did not pay is here" and told me, I had to wait 20 minutes, for clam cakes that I called in 10 minutes ago. Now I didn't want to believe any of this was due to racism, but I showed up the fifth and my final time, I was standing in line being ignored by them taking phone calls, to-go orders being picked up and may I add huge orders paying at window and then after about 15 minutes, an old white couple shows up and bam window opens for my order. It was very obvious they did not want me ordering from this establishment. I have always given 25% tip on calm cakes. I will not spend my money where my service...
