Pinewood Deli — Restaurant in Tobyhanna Township

Biggest issue is how everything is extremely overpriced. A HALF gallon of milk comes out to about 5$ ,so me & my bf only use this place when we’re SUPER desperate & do not feel like driving into town. For example, one time my partner got milk, a bag of chips & marshmallows & it came out to like 25$, So the convenience factor comes with a big charge. Not to mention about 3 of the times that we were desperate enough, we go to google to check if they’re open & were relieved to see they were, so we drive there & come to find out they closed early. 3 times that has happened over the years. ill admit they have gotten better with there hours as of lately though, they have actually been open passed 6pm the last few times we’ve used them so that’s an upgrade. we still call every single time no matter what google says just incase! Also there parking lot has a giant pothole that could definitely do some damage to your car so...

The Pinewood deli is the closest store we have to Arrowhead and it's very convenient to get something quick to eat but lately, the service, food and prices have lacked in a big way.

Today, I ordered a simple BLT on toasted white bread with mayo. Simple, right? WRONG!!! When I recieved my sandwich, the bread had not been toasted and it was soggy. I was unhappy and when I called to complain, the young lady who answered the phone was only able to say, I'm sorry. When something is not made right, it's up to the place of business to try and make it right. The girl didn't offer to make it right. This isn't the first time that something has not been made right.

Also, the prices fluctuate from day to day. Nothing is ever the same. I believe that if the Pinewood deli continues to make mistakes, then they are going to lose some...

The clerks are very helpful. But the interior and variety of merchandise is not what you would think a deli/ store that predominantly handles most of the Arrowhead Lake Community Association...because you have to travel so much further just to get a loaf of bread or gallon of milk. You get the impression the owner doesn't feel he has to do anything to update or stock because he is guaranteed to get customers. Because people have no choice because he is so close to the entrance to the community. But you feel like you need a bath or a broom when you go in there. And it's so limited in merchandise...like he went to a Bjs or Sam's club..or even Walmart and picked a few things of this and that..slapped stickers 3x what you would usually by them for, and threw them up...
